Honestly; I shudder at the bulging plastic bag that comes with every flat pack, but these guys take this apart, but most importantly, reassemble it without a page or booklet. I tip my hat at the ability of these lads to do such work, in less than ideal conditions, but most of all, taking the millions of complex parts and put it all back together. If I done it, I'd have more than one jar of spare bolts and washers..

I had to stop watching at 14:36 It just got too ugly for me there. That bearing was obviously a shrink fit. They needed to chill that bull gear assembly to get it on. Maybe warm the bearing up some too? But no they used a hammer and a chisel!

the only thing that doesn't cost anything is cleanliness, which none of these shops take seriously. dump it on the ground, mess around with it on the ground and then throw it back in, weighing a bit more for all the dirt and dust now in gears and bearings. No excuse for that. I know this is mostly on the owner but each worker could do their small part to insure a better rebuild that will last longer without all that dust ending up in the works.

What problem were they having with this diff? As a retired mechanic I was dismayed at what I saw here. Filing the teeth off the LSD friction plate! Why, you now have rendered limited slip useless. Using a cold chisel to hammer a bearing into place! I see one fellow broke off the bolt head on diff housing, but showed not replacing it. And, no gaskets!!! But, you have to give them an A+ for effort. They only can do with what one has on hand! I enjoyed the various responses.

I 99% agree with that comment, my only other side is that they have such a strong work ethic using what they can and if get to see all this easy modern stuff will they just choose to use new stock of parts and not refurbish any more like they are doing. In western countries (I am from Australia a western one) all we do is take out the old throw it away for scrap iron / whatever metal and then install a new part of the local autoparts store. Rarely do we rebuild it etc

As the chief safety officer and engineer for the country, I approve the use of the special safety pyjamas and safety sandals. Likewise, the use of the speciality scouring sand used as the floor covering is a welcome sight, as this sand, when introduced into the gear axial will clean and scour all the bearings, this making returns less expensive.

@@educatedmanholecoverbyrich8890 Hello and nice to meet you I have read and taken on board your comments How ever on closer inspection I have noticed the following 1) if you observe the safety sandals more closely you will see some workers are using unbranded sandals, and therefore not certified for use as safety Sandals s (ee note 1 for further info) 2) we accept your explanation regarding the secondary use of sand and thank you for your considered response We did have a whistleblower with a complaint, were were about to speak to the whistleblowers Manager directly, who assured us, he would supply a tube of vaseline FOC to the whistleblower A long term plan is being implemented next week to easy the concerns of the whistleblower, starting Monday all whistleblowers ars able, (free from any consequences ) to change from a whistle to a bell for singling break times As we all know the only Sandals certified as compliant are Bata Chaplal. The use of Noncertified Sandals is becoming a big problem, with workers suffering with minor injuries, as a consequence the lack of seriously injured feet has lead to a significant dropof in beggars with limb disability, denying some families the chance of a life long income
