This Celeste Mod Is Incredible

Strawberry Jam Is a Celeste Mod that contains a huge amount of high quality custom levels, all put together nicely in traversable lobbies, separated by difficulty. I decided to try it out, starting with the beginner difficulty cause yeah, Celeste levels can get hard. I haven't played this in a while, so enjoy my rusty gameplay as I explore these amazing custom maps!

EDIT: what follows is wrong:) If you press down while falling, as they did, Madeline's hitbox gets thinner, so it becomes more manageable. Still tricky, but not pixel perfect, as the prompt suggested.

Fun hollow knight fact: when talking to sly after he gives you the nail masters glory, the final line of dialogue will have the arrow that indicates more dialogue instead of the shell symbol it should have

I do hope you can stick with this! It's slightly frustrating as a Celeste fan when someone completes the Beginner lobby because they've heard so much about the mod, and then drop it because they think that's all they're capable of. The later lobbies are really fun to get into!! Just remember to visit the gyms first, they'll teach you all the tech you need. From there, it's about determination.

Personally it seems like a bit of a mistake to label these first levels as "beginner" when a lot of them seem about as hard as the endgame of the original game. As a player, if you struggle with the stuff that the game essentially calls "easy mode for babies" then you're probably not even going to want to try anything harder than that.

​@Zanador farewell is a good bit harder than any of the maps in this video, the hardest screens are like red intermediate. speaking from personal experience, I spent similar amounts of time as skurry on the levels shown here, but by slowly working my way up, I was still able to 100% the mod. and I don't really get your point about not wanting to try harder difficulties if you struggle on the easier ones- how are you supposed to ever improve at something if you don't start small? The game doesn't call it "easy mode for babies", it calls it "beginner"- i.e., where you should begin if you are new to modded celeste.

I didn't even know you played Celeste. That Dropzle playthrough was really funny. When I played, I had to look up a tutorial for it so it didn't take several hours. Sadly, I can't play much of it because my computer is weak and SJ is performance intensive, so until I get an upgrade I'm stuck with other mods like Spring Collab.

Btw skurry if you read this: on ALL FUTURE LOBBIES for the love of your OWN SANITY PLEASE play the 'gym' or 'training' things with the barbell. Things get so funky and they show you movement tech you'll need specifically for the maps of that lobby. The progression and the grind is rewarding! Keep it up!

Sub difficulties are color coded (green, yellow, red) and you're been playing a lot of red difficulty levels, which are about as hard as the final level from vanilla. Forest path and Azure caverns are both easier than the first level in vanilla

I’m not sure if it was cut out, but in Paint there are two secrets (that I know of), one of them is a giant flying fish, and the other is a yippee creature Also on Dropzle I did pixel perfect jumps for the whole level and it took me like 40 minutes, glad you didn’t follow through with doing that
