I agree organization is HUGE. We try to do heavy preproduction, so we don't change the story or the pacing in the edit, but pacing is probably our biggest hurdle right now! We did slow down our upload schedule so we could be proud of the content we make.

On the subject of rookie mistake. Dogg and I filmed and hiked for 3 hours did our (non) scripted audio got ready to start editing and bam no audio. New mic was not set up right sooo was all the footage lost? Dogg found 3 sheds that day no way was I not going to use the footage. Came up with a solution. Back up and running with the video

I don't edit, one take video. I have edited a few times but didn't change watch time. So do I need to edit? Do I need to have multiple takes instead of one take?

My biggest editing pain point is finding accurate free b-roll, i just started using b-roll due to the free editing app made my KZbin themselves KZbin create and it's not that good to be honest
