No. The text is directly addressing Jesus as in the Greek the current word always complements the previous and thus Thomas was directly addressing Jesus and calling him my Lord and my God. In the Greek its a direct focus on the person in front of him... so Thomas was saying to him to Jesus who was in front of him.

@ScottJackson. God the Father is called the Lord as well - Jesus is called God as well. It's specific to each expression and the context. Just because Jesus is called Lord does not mean he is not called God in another verse. Just because the Father is called Lord in one verse does not mean he is not also called God in another verses. They complement each other in their own dynamic ways.

First of all , John is the latest & the least historical Gospel out of the four. There are many things in John that are not found in the other previous Gospels. Such as "before Abraham was I am" for example , the scholars would argue "he probably never said it at all". And no , the disciples DO NOT worship Jesus as God , they are not a polytheist. No one has ever seen God : The same book , 1 John 4:12 [12] No one has ever seen God. No man can see God and live , not even Moses : Exodus 33:20 [20] But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” The people who lived around Jesus can see him and live long enough to tell the story , so Jesus cannot be God , simple. I mean , "no one has ever seen God" , what more do you want ?
