tl;dr I've lost my job guys and this channel doesn't make enough money to keep me afloat. I've made a Patreon, and enabled memberships here directly on KZbin. There's also the buymeacoffee. I would love nothing more than to do this work full time, but the long production times, and challenges of finding decent paying sponsors makes taking that leap tenuous at best. If you enjoy the videos I make here on this channel and are in a position to help, please whatever you can spare on whichever platform suits you best is really going to make a difference and help keep me going. I'm hopeful and optimistic that this unfortunate turn of events is just a blessing in disguise, like maybe its just warp demons who enjoy the videos trying to influence me to stop focusing on other things and only work on this channel, but whether that's possible or not is really up to you guys.

What more content would there be to come? I need tutorials for basics in printing and supporting, which you have done excellently. I dont exactely need and like printer/resin/product reviews, especially not when those products are being provided for free by the manufacturer. I really like the creator-reviews and hope there's more of those to come. What other content is to be expected in the future? Are there more intermediate tutorials for resin 3D printing yet to come? What topics didn't you cover yet? What kind of long-term content will you produce once those tutorials are covered? If you can answer those questions, there is a good chance of me becming a patreon since I've enjoyed a lot of your content outside of the product reviews so far.

I will admit, I've always been a fan of this channel for the high quality, even before the Poorhammer video (big fan of both you guys). Your effort has never not been noticed - the amount of production value you put in is absolutely insane, especially from a single creator. You're like an indie dev making a AAA game. That said, it doesn't take a genius to figure out just how problematic that can be. Usually people putting out your style of videos have full teams behind them, like Wendover Productions or Tom Scott. To do all of that solo, especially in a fairly niche (albeit growing) industry such as 3D printing before a large dedicated audience can serve as your backbone, takes some MASSIVE balls. I really hope some of the longer-form high-production videos still remain, but I absolutely encourage filling out the time between those releases with things that are more fun, less stress, and overall just better for you to release. I know that I'm always in for a treat when you release something, and I enjoyed the Play On reactionary vid, so I think you could strike a wonderful balance between the two styles. Despite how hard they are to put out, your interviews are some of my favourites, and are the reason I even got into DMG minis in the first place! Above all else, I hope these videos remain an enjoyable experience for you, and can evolve and grow into something that supports you. Hope the coffee helps! Much love, WA

Recently came across your videos and they have been a great resource. The production value is amazing, but I would actually recommend more like this video. Filming yourself making things, learning from mistakes, loving rabbits, or whatever you are going to enjoy making. The authenticity and connection with the audience is something that a lot of people are looking for. Obviously if you can still drop the occasional high production video that’d be awesome, but at the end of the day the viewers are going to enjoy seeing you enjoying what you’re doing. Appreciate what you make and I hope to see more of your videos in my feed!

I've really enjoyed your videos for the past year and if not for them I wouldn't have gotten a 3d printer. The really high production quality and stylistic choices in the videos is really nice and part of why I enjoy your videos that I've seen but I think that your personality and your ideas that you have for your videos like printing the Cadia Stands box before it is released are what keep me watching your channel. The interviews are really nice because I find they add a bit of a unique twist to your videos but I understand that they are difficult to do and honestly I feel like they are not necessary for a really nice video. My biggest complaint about your channel is that there aren't enough videos on it no doubt due to how long each one takes to make which I completely understand since I tend to struggle with taking ages to finish things (if I ever finish them to begin with) due to wanting every little thing to be perfect and if possible better than what I made last. tl:dr The reason why I like your videos is more because of the unique value that your personality adds to them rather than the amazing atmospheric flashy editing n stuff and if you do choose to lower video production quality in favour of making more videos I will definitely keep watching.

Experimenting with styles of creative stuff can be rewarding aside from gaming with the algo. YT shorts for just little incidental things, updates on larger projects, or snippets of your higher production vids Shorter, easy to produce product tests or even "here's a thing I learned" videos could be fun too. Time lapse videos? You probably generate a lot of b-roll for like preparing models and painting them, pot some royalty free music over the top is some folks comfort content. Good luck with full time content creation & community building!

That 3D scanner is great for sculptors and creators who build their models with clay or other physical mediums. Once they are done, they can use that scanner to create digital copies to import into slicers or blender, etc. They are also great for cosplay designers and builders, they can scan in things like a person’s head to ensure masks or helmets are made to the right size and shapes.

I guess it's a nice thing to separate the videos in "program blocks" that way you don't feel pressured to have a high quality edition in every video. For example: 3D Print Tips, 3D Printer Reviews, Project Updates, Interview, Crazy Creations, etc. That way when someone sees the title they will know how to expect and you don't need to feel pressure. People might be able to know when you create some Mad Scientist Creations with High Quality Editing, which is separated from the 3D Printing Tips and so on... Also if you are still playing stuff on TTS, also put some battle reports to the people. Everything is connected to the hobby, but with a lot of different content.

Love your videos man, its got me thinking about miniature hobbying again after a lot of years not doing it, and i even got nomad sculpt to see what thats about. I think your videos are exceptionally high quality, but I watch for your thoughts and conversation's first.

I think the internet archive got a full backup of newgrounds maybe? I remember hearing one of their main guys talking about them making it a major push, and them having a full layer that allows playback of flash stuff without needing flash...

Maybe some of those interviews you do with the STL files would be a good addition to the channel, to boost the amount of videos and views to the channel would be cool. But totally understand the anxiety bit, sorry to hear about the job as well but love your videos and presenting style.

Dude the greatest thing in life is following a passion, I wanna see you keep doing what you are doing and not be forced to lower your own creative standards, keep making your videos man. Only complaint I have is I want more of your content haha but if things go well that will happen

I found your channel when I got started 3d printing and landed on your reviews. Love the channel and am a fan of more unscripted videos. I really look forward to seeing more content here.

Apologies on about the job man. Always sucks to lose one that feels good. Please post more videos! I’d love shorter less scripted ones like reviews or interviews that’d be sweet. Hope you keep growing now that you can more heavily focus on the channel.

I am with you on being in-between jobs. I'm doing gig work as a courier to pay bills. I feel you on many levels, my friend. I wish you the best and will continue to watch and support as best I am able. One thing I will recommend is, trying to upload more frequently, even if not as well crafted and edited as your current uploads. The upload frequency is what will make the algorithm happier and might better drive viewer numbers to your videos. Just a thought.

Hey man, it happens. I lost my job in 2022 right before Christmas and I won't lie, it was difficult making it through the holidays and having to take a lower-paying non-skilled labor job for awhile to stay afloat, but in hindsight it was a blessing in disguise because the other company is a dumpster fire now and the new company I got a job at in August of 2023 is absolutely awesome to work for. Just keep your eyes out for opportunities and perhaps one will arise in which you can leverage your hobby and hobby skills to pursue creativity more full time.

You have helped me and taught me some many things in my hobby of 3d printing you deserve every penny i can throw at you. You can do both scripted and unscripted videos in my opinion I just like your content. I hope you bounce back also more bunny in your videos

i never comment on content due to anxiety etc etc. I hits hard when your made redundant and things seem bleak but dont put so much pressure on yourself. your content is fantastic and to me it seems the best bits are when you go off script and talk from the heart, like this video. dont put so much pressure on yourself. make some off script vids, keep them short and have fun with it. you will soon find your mojo again. You have the backing of an incredible group of supporters and I'm they sure willing to do what they can to help. times are though, keep ya chin up and know that people are there to help.

Great down to earth video mate! Cost of living must be crazy in Sydney atm. If you lived in Perth, I'd get you a good courier job here with me. They really beat the office settings. Lots of time to think on the next creative project :P

Your videos are always ones i shared with friends in the hobby. The pacing of the video and the value of the content was amazing. Keep creating and stoke that flame- and continue in a way that sustains you. Your criticism of yourself drives you to always improve your quality but use it to enhance your creativity, not smother it or your drive. Happy to help support your journey as you discover what works for you. I toast of resin to you good sir 🍸

Yeah, that compressor is little more than a generic rebadge. They've paid a little extra for the branded 'housing' but otherwise you'll see that same one all over Amazon under dozens of names.
