They already improved farming for materials much easier in 3.0. It isn't that big of a deal. This seems like a PvP tool because of the competition created by multiple players.

H7 Mercenary camp is equally insane. " Ruins of Al'Meraah" has 3 sorcerer, and i found tricks to lure them, up to 2 enemies at a time. If you play well, you can use the truncheon to catch them instead of killing them to get the sorcerer skull. Near by, "N'batu's Pack" have 1 sorcerer, he's right next to N'batu and has a bunch of archers, hard to kill in the early game. But I play PvE, just need you go to "N'batu's Pack" and come back, "Ruins of Al'Meraah" has respawn. And you have 3 sorcerer to target "Howler's Lode" is a bit far Mer camp, but all just 2 sorcerer & 1 archer (and a lot of Hyenas outside).

I dont see the issue here. Siptah has tons of places where you can just run and grab legendary weapons just laying around.

I play as a Yamatai samurai using the Khitan race and have always had hoped that they would add Khitan npc camps to the game so we could get Khitan thralls. But it seems they are going to just tease us in chapter two and give us new armor and Khitan merchants then when the event is over we will not see any more Khitan npcs. I would be happy if the T3 thralls that you get from the merchants were Khitan thralls. That would make me want to farm the skulls even more if I could have a new kind of thralls than what is in the game already.

9:30 it is not to hard to climb it, if you know how to. get a little bit to the left (or the right) of the "invisible ledge" and when you reach the end you adjust back to the "invisible ledge". Also balancing a ledge like you did right after is also super easy if you crouch...since you can't drop if you are crouched ;)

I could imagine that they get rid of all rewards but the Ancient Obolus for turning in skulls and put in additional vendors for the alchemical base, steel fire, etc. That way this event could potentially stay relevant throughout the whole game while avoiding an inflation of high tier materials. The thralls will probably spawn with iron or steel weapons instead of the current ones. Honestly, I don't see much sense in offering only tier 3 fighter and archer thralls here altogether. It would be better if they also added crafters with an option to get tier 4 ones for a really high price like 500 Ancient Obolus or something and they should have a randomised profession, so you can't specifically farm an edgesmith for instance. Events like this should be there to function as a nice addition to the game, not to make a bunch of other mechanics obsolete.

Had to add obolus coins as a way to get thralls for my nomadic rules...it's an option instead of buying RNG thralls in Flotsam. Both these merchants i learnt about from your channel!

I didn't know about the event, but I was wondering why I kept getting skulls when farming the npc shrine in the forest. That place has like 4 sorcerers there. Note, I cleared those camps pretty much naked and with basic stone daggers.

Is the return rate for the Obolus the same regardless of the sorcerer level? Or does, say a level 2 sorcerer skull give more bounty than a level 1 sorcerer skull, and so on for each higher level?

Skulls are the same and the rewards are slightly random. Not sure about turning them in alive.

Did you ever test if the weapon given to a thrall was tied to player level? Would be rather funny if it was telling lvl 10 players to do all that just to get an iron weapon on the thrall.

Love the video.. just logistics of getting to that area through tons of spiders/hyena/rocknose at 10 may be a little tough or is there a way I don't know? Turning in live Sorcerers still gives you alchemist base and steelfire as well as other things. Its freaking awesome at low levels. Not as OP with the Swords, but it still works! It may be active during certain times becuase i got the quest to do this very thing immediately logging in after the Age of Sorcery 2 update. It was a Seasonal Challenge.

You didn't even try and gave up quickly. You didn't learn how to fight. Seems like there was something else that made it easy to quit. Ask yourself why you quit, what didn't you like about the game? Also the game is significantly different now from the original, especially the 3.0 update. *If* you decide to play again, you'll have to learn a new game. And I suggest solo until you feel comfortable.

Buying meta T4s for just 20 of those coins would be busted. But the T3s you ll get carry you through the early game and they got enough hp for knocking down a Zerk/Dali/Relic. Absolutely worth id say.

In the Dev stream they said T4, for 20 coins I agree way to low cost, maybe 500 coins for T4 thralls, I'm 60 on my servers so anything under T4 is a waist of my time

Honestly. I'mma say yea it is quite busted. Usually I when I see this kind of title I assume it's it's to draw people in, but this. This is actually busted. Tier 3 fighter thralls, Obsidian great swords, and Dragon bone Bows with some incredible resources so easily? This event is a massive power spike for almost any build in the game. And can sky rocket you progression wise due to not having to farm Brimstone for steel. Or even Alchemical base for lvl 60 gear! Like, theres no way this will be how it is on release.

Not that busted in my opinion, On most servers i believe like official you can get lvl 60 and obtain starmetal the first day anyways, So the entire thing becomes very much pointles pretty close to the start of playing, Except youre Looking for cheap meatshields and some ressources on the side

A system for reincarnating would be wonderful (starting over with extra perks of various kinds).They almost have this with removing the bracelet anyway. Adding more levels to end game would help as well - you get to 60 too quickly. And maybe the ability to play dungeons and events at higher level (harder for better rewards).

Sigh.. the grind is the point but why would they make wood a reward? Getting 3k wood is a task that takes less than 5 min probably less than 3. Game devs that dont play their own game shouldnt create anything for it lol. I just got into this game with my wife and bought a server 150 hours in and I was unaware of this event but i see 0 point in doing it though unless a unique reward exists. Im not really interested in checking though because modern ga.e devs are worthless lol.

They made it trivial to complete the BP with the huge 5x XP boosts currently going on. I think that the value you get for the $$$ is less than the DLCs... but if you actually do the BP then you do get enough Crom Coins to get the next season BP so in the long run it's probably a better value than the old DLCs assuming you actively play. I'd still prefer them use normal DLC-style monetization though instead of a battlepass.
