“i hit her in the privates with my hand” and smiling… really really concerning that he was specifically trying to hurt her in that area. i know its too little too late but they should’ve definitely looked into that. it seems like it could be a sign of abuse or even just a suggestion that river needed to develop those boundaries. you don’t touch anyone’s privates let alone try to hurt them. i can’t believe no one caught that.

@@claranadine1086 i agree, i think the way he said it seemed like he knew both hurting people and touching others privates were bad behaviors, but he was choosing to do them for some reason he probably didn’t understand. it must feel terrible for a kid that young to have that kind of anger/spite inside. i think he definitely needed to talk to someone and get to the root of these behaviors because like you said this isn’t typical for kids who are happy and well adjusted.
@MalO.ver1.0.x6 ай бұрын
@@camdecay A child at that age doesn't even understand NOR is it aware that they have pent up anger in them, someone (and by that I mean a Gods forsaken professional, not a TV show) has to put a focus on it first. This little winner for abortion after birth did these things because he either thought it was funny or out of a high it was given him, not because he is frustrated, which is a very different kind of animal to tackle with psychologists.

I have been on the biggest Supernanny kick lately, and seeing this video where we can actually see where at least one of the kids on the show ended up, is insane to me, because I’m always curious if the parents and kids improve when Jo inevitably has to leave the family to their own vices.

@battybatboii_yt34316 ай бұрын
A problem that I’d like to address is that it is an interesting show but if super nanny just by herself went into broken families households to help fix stuff up then that’s fine but imagine being a child who is emotionally,mentally, and maybe even physically doing unwell and there is a literal camera crew in YOUR house recording you. I doubt the kids get consent for this and I feel like this is a horrible approach. I loved to watch super nanny when I was a kid but now I realize I’m completely against it.
@thinecuprunnethoverwithblood6 ай бұрын
As a guy with a background in psych and human bio, I completely agree! Your line of thinking is extremely sound and based in the reality of how children actually think and develop. These people don't understand that, specifically for a child like River who *ENJOYS* the chaos disobedience causes, bringing in a camera crew and shoving it in his face constantly is actually rewarding the behavior. It's extremely likely as well that, at an even earlier time in his life, he experienced some form of trauma or abuse at the hands of someone in power and was in constant fight or flight around adults as a result. He should've received loving and empathetic, but also stern and educated psychological help alongside his family. This is a massive example of why glorifying the exploitation of the mentally ill and aligning yourself with that can have real life negative results, I spent this entire video being shocked this nanny never suggested the child visit a qualified professional or be accurately evaluated.
