I just bought one. I think it is so call DF64 gen 2.3 with a few tweaks compared to gen 2. I agree that it’s build is very solid. I was surprised how heavy it is when I took it out from packaging. Unlike feedbacks from the internet about previous gen that it usually not zero from the factory. I checked mine and it is spot on. Of course, it is not hard to adjust anyway if needed. I like the flexibility to replace burr and there are a variety of options out there. I am happy with the DLC burr so don’t feel the need to swap yet. I can’t think of a brand new grinder that is better than it at its price point.

I've had mine for a few weeks now. I heard a lot about how noisy the DF64 is, but compared to the Sette 270 I had, it’s a major improvement. Overall, I am very pleased with this grinder.

Not sure if there are regional variations in what's in the box but mine (uk) came with an insert for the cradle to bring the dosing cup closer so even the blown fines end up in it. I haven't found the need to rdt, just use the included chute brush every so often. It is loud, but you don't have to wait long.

I have this grinder, Df64, and love it. It hits way above its weight. I would be interested to see a comparison between the df64 stock burrs vs the SSP HU burrs as they appear almost identical in burr geometry. I believe L. Hendrick stated that the difference in flavor is minimal and he prefers the HUs over the stock burrs. Would just love to see a comparison.

i have one ,and I love its consistency. Also being able to grind directly into portafilter is very convenient.

I think it's best to turn it on and then add the beans. Think it's called hot dosing. I have one and seems to be a great grinder.

You missed an important part. When putting back the upper burr, you must have it in the same orientation, there are 3 teeth up there and the upper tooth must remain the top. If now, the grinder will not be aligned.

I'm seeing some videos complaining about the noise. Can current owners comment about the noise? Thanks!

Some of the most innovative and reliable products in the coffee world are produced in China.. the Lagom Option O range, Timemore, and Niche, to name but three, are all excellent grinder manufacturers. Don’t forget your own Decent DE1, Ryd.. made in Hong Kong, with many parts sourced from nearby China. Just wait till the Bengle appears..

all major brands producing in china, its about who design it, quality control, stress tests, warranty and all that, usually chinese brands are not so good in that regard. made in china does not mean chinese brand. "Niche" is not a chinese brand, they are from england i think (Martin Nicholson). The DF64's are from a chinese brand, i guess its their own design. That does not mean its a bad thing, i think timemore is also a chinese company.

China produces a wide variety of products at all quality levels. China also produces a lot of the components in machines made elsewhere. I have a DF-54, which works very well. It is much smaller but just as solid.

not that impressed, for the money im sure it's a good buy but a bit above this price range you have better options such as the Femobook or Philos if you need it to be a flat burr. Also how that top part is constructed, that WILL result in differences in alignment per unit build without question. One thing Turin isn't known for is QC. You'd have to certainly check alignment and do all that fiddling about 9:20 EK43 is not a single dose grinder, are you kidding me? The retention is quite substantial. It is meant to be used with the hopper, if you single dose prepare to have exchange with other coffee grounds inside the grinder in your output

Just sold my DF64V. Piece of crap had 1 job. To grind beans. And it would stall even on a hot start. 😵

Any grinder with bellows is a cover up for bad design and a band-aid solution
