Just a quick true story. When my daughter was a young teenager I would tell her to clean her room and she would do it so fast I was so proud. Then one day I found all her stuff under her bed she had just been sweeping everything under her bed. So I put her in there and told her not to come out until everything was put away or thrown away. When she did not come out for a while I went and checked and she is under the bed with Barbies in her hand fast asleep. I couldn't help it it made me laugh so hard that I woke her up. She said I'm sorry I didn't know I was asleep

My best friend has chronic pain- has to work full time. Groceries, clothing, food, meds, etc. Are all delivered. Amazon boxes galore! Her mobility issues mean everything needs to be in arm's reach. The anxiety of having anything moved too is overwhelming. We plug away but don't have the stamina to get it up to snuff.and then to make it manageable for her.

Great job cleaning up that room! What about the room or rooms where you put the stuff from that room? Sad thing is if you go back in 6 months those bags of clothes that you took out of there will probably still sitting there. They probably need therapy to be able to prevent that from happening again and to get through all the bags of stuff you took out of there.

So all the clothes was in the room, we separated. And we put summer clothes, winter clothes in separate bags. I separated all the body stuff and important papers in different boxes. Even if she put it back these things, she will know where to find her stuff. It’s not a big mess anymore. This can be really helpful in this condition
