Johnston & Murphy has been making the presidents shoes for 165 years. Now, they are preparing for a change in step ? making a woman's presidential shoes.

I bought my first pair of J&M shoes about 25 years ago. I've worn much pricier shoes, but I will never wear another shoe not made by Johnston and Murphy. They are excellent shoes. I've never had any problems with the shoes. They're comfortable as Hell, and stand up. I can't tell you how many times after a meeting or during a lunch someone has looked down and said, "Nice shoes!" I usually go into a spiel about how much I love the shoes when that happens. Lol. They should give me commission or discount on purchase. You can't go wrong with these shoes.

Yeah, totally agree. There's eventually some perfect "goodyear-welted" dress shoes out there. The glued on, cemented, Chinese made, imported ones are pretty bad.

Unlike most shoe manufacturers, johnston and Murphy have had the same good consistent product since 1850 as time went on fashion and style changes, as does designs. But to just say they suck is untrue.

I don't recommend this line of products to anyone. Not only are the shoes cheaply made but low grade as well. I can honestly say I feel like I got ripped off for 200 bucks... After several attempts of contact for the shoes basically falling apart (welt came undone, leather cracked and even spilt after about 5 wears in 2 weeks) I have basically been told I can not return the shoes, I can not be refunded and I was basically ignored after several attempts via email and phone to have the shoes replaced!

Nah you a liar, they have a 90 day warranty plus if your shoes fall apart within a year by stuff like tearing or a problem that you didn't create they'd replace it even if it's been a year

Connor Schmitt not when its on toe of the shoe. Trust me i battle with them via phone and a local store. The local store told me they couldn't do anything since i didnt buy direct. The manufacturer wouldn't repair the shoe nor refund me. The leather on the right shoe is now peeling i haven't worn the shoes in a few months now.
