Teddy Otto that’s good to know. I’ll have to do some research. I’m glad you figured out which vitamin you needed.

Also vitamin deficiency can cause thinning receding hairline. Ex:low iron

Since starting my locs I have gotten really tender headed. 😩 Especially in my nape. I mostly wear my hair down and when I want to change I will do a rod set and wear curly locs. I also like twisting my locs to switch it up. I wash every 2 weeks and retwist every 6.
@GreedyBedies4 жыл бұрын
I retwist every 2-3 months now.

I’m more tender-headed too! And I’ve never had a single style since I got loc’d 6 months ago. The most I do it wear a head wrap occasionally.

I hate wrapping my hair at night. I have to be careful at night with edges. Front and back.

I've been maintaining my locs since lockdown started. We're on level 1 now and my loctician is back but I'm happy with how I've been maintaining my hair. I understand how my hair wants me to treat it, I have a special bond with them. They're thick and have grown ♥️👌🏾. I love your tips lady ♥️

Great tips,Thank you😊 I use black Jamaican castor oil on my edges never had hair loss thank god loc for 10 years💪🏾

I wash my scalp every 2 weeks with a steam treatment but I get a full wash and retwist from my loctician once every 4 weeks. I also wash my satin scarf and bonnet everytime i wash my hair. Those 2 weeks in between having my hair washed and not retwisted I just deal with my locs looking full and no scalp showing haha. I'm a little more than a year and a half into my loc journey. I try not to do any updos unless im working out. Even then I use a loosened/stretched out headband.

I'm all about the leaving my hair down. Idk about when it gets longer but its shoulder length now

Yep I agree. I’ve never once got an updo or style. I actually love just letting my hair hang free. That is one of the benefits of locs for me.

Love this!! And I had many styles that pulled my hair back and impacted my hairline. Thank you for highlighting the importance of this!

Vitamin deficiency is a main reason, yes. Iron pills for those who have been medical tested and have low iron levels, biotin supplements, folic acid, and cold pressed coromega 3x fish oil packets has truly truly truly made a difference for me.

Sheer weight in general will mess with your hairline, especially when it is wet.

OMG ... I joined my locs twice in the 8 yrs I've had them. I had to, but Yesss ... So heavy especially when washed. My edges were already thin. I need something to make it full❗👑💜
@Oonagh724 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Devoe because I am anal about my edges I never wear a single ponytail. Always multiples. Put your hair in four sections when washing can help support your edges when wet. Also you may have to just cut it. At the very least the loc on the edges. Give yourself a nice fringe.

I have the oil mix with the horsetail leaf. I use a silky bonnet at night and I have satin pillowcases. I wash my hair every 2 weeks but retwist like every 2-3 months now.

I love the swirly curlys and have never seen anything like it so thank you for that. I just started my lock journey 2 weeks ago and I washed and am retwisting my hair after two weeks because of the hair growth. My hair is short so I won’t need the swirlys just yet but as it grows out I will. Great tips on the edges so I don’t make my mistake. Your hair is beautiful.

Thx. 1. Since Covid, my hair has been self-trimming regularly-usually an inch or two, which is fine w me. However... 2. The very back of my head has remained 1/2 an inch for threeeee years. *SIGH*. 3. I DO sleep on silky and 4. I also have lots of high quality vitamins. 5. I haven’t had my hair professionally locked for two years. Sometimes, I twist it. Mostly, I moisturize it. I’ll look at more of your videos.
