Wading in a cool, shallow creek on the hunt for some nice largemouth, doesn’t get much better. I’ve had a lot of success on what I call a “micro” wacky rig on light mono line with my ultralight rig. In those shallow creeks during the summer downsizing lures produces more action. I will always keep a couple of small Rooster Tails on hand (2 or 3 colors). Inline spinners are a lot of fun when the water is moving more. You do a great job with your videos. Thank you for taking us along. - Tennessee Smoky

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but it is amazing how people feel like they're entitled to every bit of information - names of streams, etc. Essentially, they don't want to do the work of locating streams themselves, scouting them out, etc. You give out more than enough general information, and after all, the whole point of your channel is that there are all sorts of places to fish, no matter where you live, and many of these places are overlooked - I know some of the streams I fish down here seldom if ever see any fishing pressure.

Thank you so much John for talking about not revealing your fishing locations. My favorite creek was mentioned on You-Tube and has since been decimated. Six gentlemen came down the creek, five with casting nets. On another weekend a mile down the creek at another bridge four gentlemen were clearing out the creek with home made spear guns. Keep in mind this is what I witnessed while I was there, Lord only knows what occurred when I wasn't.

When you use a wacky rig, what size hook do you use and where or how do you place the worm on the hook. There is a creek close to my house that have lots of bass in it, but I have a hard time getting them to hit my lures that I use. I really like your channel and it has got me to exploring some creeks in my area. I like in Oxford, AL.

Two way ton.vh[ok. With a O ring that connects to worm or just simply stick it thru the middle. I use a 1/0 hook. Works best for me in smaller creeks

I was watching an episode of shark tank. Not sure if it was an old one or not, so this may not be news but the guy was making and selling rings that you wear and they cut line like butter. He cut all different weights of line and it cut right through all of them. And you can't cut yourself. I hope these get marketed if they haven't already because I sure could use one! Better than fingernail clippers or carrying scissors.
