I can just say as a Danish architect, that there's nothing Danish farmhouse in this house or Scandinavian for that sake... but a nice house in Michigan.

I cannot speak for the "farmhouse" aspect, but the interior is extremely Danish to an American eye. A typical American home is full of color, carpet, and various textures. When a space has clean/light pine floors, white walls and open concepts, we as Americans call it "Danish." My wife is a Dane and we live in Denmark for about a month every year (the rest of our time is in America) so I feel like I can bridge the cultural confusion with the term pretty well. :)

Let me just be the one Dane to say this. I live around a lot of farmhouses, and especially newer farmhouses. Though old traditional Danish farmhouses doesn't share this look, a lot of the newer ones does. Another thing to note is that most american farmhouses aren't so square, which a lot of danish houses are. This newer farmhouse look isn't much of a trend in places around Copenhagen, but is major around Jutland. A good example would be Stagning whisky or other farms in the region of Ringkøbing-Skjern.
