I love how you always make the most of a port even if things don’t go your way. Must admit I’ve never fancied a carnival cruise but this ship is lovely

Thanks, Joanne! This day was tricky - I felt like the world was against me, ha! However, when you’re in a new port and it’s nice and warm, what’s not to love (right?!). Thanks for watching!

Glad to see you have so much fun with these ports, even with some attractions being closed (and for good reasons). As far as line dancing goes, I am such a fan. I started doing it when I moved to Ottawa in the early 2000s. Our group was younger and very energetic. One of my favourite is the "Lac Simon Boogie". I would throw lots of styling into it. For example, when doing the series of "touch step cross" moves while going forward, I would exaggerate my touch steps and drop very low to the ground. So much fun, and quite the workout 😅. Don't get me stated on the square dancing.

Oh, I've made it my life goal to get into dancing on the ships. Watch this space - maybe in the future I'll release a video tutorial for some of these dances, haha!

Long walk in the hot sun! Which is why the other tourists were gone.😂 Sorry the lighthouse was closed, but amazing views from that hotel rooftop! Good to know they don’t accept cards. So sorry there were no divers-must have known it was too hot for the tourists.
@FraserAtSea10 ай бұрын
Yeah, I think you’re right - too hot for the tourists to be wandering those streets - only us committed ones out there, ha! I was so thankful for the hotel views - absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for watching, Cheri!

OMG how can you walk so much when it’s so hot! It’s such a lovely scenic town. This cruise ports are on my list! Too bad you didn’t see the divers, would have been nice.

Ha, I was clearly committed (or a little insane) on this cruise, ha! These ports were so good - I loved all of them. Thanks so much for watching!

Thank goodness El Faro was closed. 100 degrees F is way too hot to take a hike like that. Even walking around town. Glad you survived the heat. Wear a hat! 😂 Mazatlan is like Southern Europe in Summer. It’s incredibly quiet in August. If you go again, try January or February. It’s so nice there at that time of year. We took Discovery Princess from LA down there. Beautiful!

Ha, yeah, in hindsight it was BOILING there! Don’t worry - I’m now the proud owner of a hat - no way I could have that sun hitting my head any longer… Will need to go back earlier in the year - thanks for the tip! Thanks for watching and supporting my little channel! 😊

That's sad you didn't get to do the lighthouse climb! I loved watching the divers! So cool! When I was there, we had significant safety warnings about walking anywhere from the dock. Said if we weren't taking a tour, to hire a pedi-cab or taxi to the tourist areas. I wasn't going to walk 2 miles in the heat anyway, so tour it was 😂. You are such a good sport when things don't go as planned!
@FraserAtSea10 ай бұрын
Ah, you’ve seen them! They look amazing on KZbin, but not sure I’d be too comfortable watching them in reality… We actually didn’t get warnings for this port, which surprised me in hindsight - around the port was pretty sketchy looking if I’m honest… Thanks so much for following!!

How long ago were you there? It's been about 5 years, but when we went, we walked out of the port to the beach where we spent most of the day playing in the water.

Hey, thanks for watching! It was all really relaxed - I reckon I could’ve stayed up there as a bar visitor as it was so quiet! I’m sure if you dropped the hotel an email, they’d be happy providing you were buying stuff up there!

I feel you cheated yourself by all the walking you did in the heat and missed a lot. You should have grabbed a pulmonia (golf cart) with driver to show you the city. You missed so much.

Hey! Thanks for watching - unfortunately I planned my day assuming the lighthouse would be open and the divers would be operating. However, the walking was an excellent way to see the place - I really enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
@Kaykers8610 ай бұрын
I disagree. Walking in ports helps you see the locals and not just all the tourist spots. When we travel we do a lot of walking and it helps us see so much!
