First time I went from Diamond to Masters I noticed a distinct difference in the pace of play. At lower ELO you get used to being the playmaker because most players just want to poke. At higher ELO everyone is trying to make plays from different angles.

It's like when bronze tanks have good mechanical skill, but if you drop them into a higher rank they do poorly because they don't have any faith in their support to keep them alive and have to manage their health carefully. It's a problem that would be fixed just by getting used to the rank.

It looks like what happened is that the enemy team adapted to him. The realized he was mechanically strong but positioning and decision making wasn't fully there. So they stopped presenting opportunities for him to challenge them and he fell apart as a result. They downloaded him.

His greatest weakness was his lack of positioning and the GMs instantly grabbed ahold of this and took advantage of it. If you compare, you can see that GMs were always on some form of high ground and made constant plays, but he was always around his team. He would only challenge a GM to remove them from high ground but for some reason he would never take it. Once the GMs were aware of this, it was over.

I kinda liked that in OW1 as it allows you to play on that level and learn. Elo hell is caused by everyone being bad and you being rewarded for bad plays since the opponents are trash. But once you start to rank up you don’t get rewarded for these bad plays and tilt and fall back down, but you don’t know bad plays are bad plays because you were rewarded for them the whole time. In masters I’d commonly be placed into t500 lobbies like every other game and rarely even get currently t100 or peak t10 players. Combined with replay system it made the journey from 3000-4000 faster than 800-1800

Some people just have a really hard time splitting their focus, they get tunnel visioned when attacking. We have a friend who tryhards but can't even hear people talking to them or calling things out if they're engaging enemies and then ults when no one's there or there's no combo, and later acts like the rest of the team wasn't communicating or coordinating lol.

I love that this game has communication bans when it is one of the most important things in game. You are not allowed to say "Blizzard sucks for their event" ingame or else you are treated like you don't deserve to communicate with your team. I had the opportunity in OW1 to do this, but I remember a different time I was mercy and tracer only to climb. They were my best heroes at the time and I tried my best, I really did, I climbed from Gold to 2991 and Diamonds were in my game now and I have to be real... I could myself straining my ability in the game against them. Like I was giving it what I had and even being experimental with new ideas on the fly and I could feel...capped. We were on Dorado and I was Tracer playing into their Widow and she could aim. I had never encountered Widows that could actually aim before. In Silver, Gold, Plat, good Widows are just....rare. And she could aim, I beat my head against a wall these games trying to figure out how to beat her and that's when I realized the best way to get after her was to switch and this was before role queue was around. I switched to monkey and coordinating the Genji on our team we pressured her a lot. Communication gets real good around low diamond for the first time and actually coordinating strats was really fun. We ended up losing when we switched to defense, but nonetheless it was a fun game. I sunk that account down to silver when I tried to do learn Sombra and I thought the best way to learn was to force myself in a stressful circumstance where it was either learn or lose SR. I lost SR.

You'll charge like nothing in exchange for exposing yourself to getting picked and giving away your position. They have a bloody Sojourn/Ashe. Both heroes can melt reaper if he's decided to dance around down mid. And giving away your position means you can't flank as easily and pressure them. Good reapers stay hidden before the team fight and look for an oppourtunity to hit their backline. They only frontline when the fight devolves into a full brawl on point.

@@eemfunnyasf i agree cass in close range takes one brain cell to use but in longer range u have to hit ur shots and keep in mind u only have 6 and ur cd only works in close range and the other cd isn’t the greatest not to mention ur ult is extremely ez to avoid, whereas journ is good at any range her cooldowns are cancer and if you can build up charge on her rail gun and if you at least have mediocre aim then that’s basically a guaranteed kill so yeah i stand by what i said journ is definitely the bigger training wheel from the two not to mention she’s really boring to play as whereas cass is pretty fun

Idk man, in my eyes he seemed pretty good. It was just he was getting focused by players like lucio alot and its hard to know the pace if this is your first game in that rank, add that in with people watching which could possibly make him nervous and anyone gonna be off their game. His comms couldve been better but he was in a losing environment. He sometimes went for foolish peeks but there were times where he turned around and even im like "where tf his team go" i feel if he was given a couple games more to fully adapt to the playstyle and rotating. I think he wouldve been alright

Relies too much on mechanics, needs more active gamesense and foresight to push that mechanical advantage. Take more angles, deny enemy angles, dont constantly spam down main and get picked by rng stray shots, etc. Otherwise good plays for a high end lobby
