I am not against modern medicine but ayurveda has its benefits. Ayurveda is about treating you body with natural remedies that can be herbs. Stop this cancel culture please and let them co exist. Modern is useful for emergency purposes. For example garlic is useful in reducing cholesterol in our blood which is actually true. And I do also know what placebo effect. Placebo effect is not ayurveda. Turmeric doesnot harm us if it is pure turmeric. I personally feel this podcast is an agenda to push a narrative to destroy the ancient ayurveda to push modern medicine forward. Even America started doing it's research on ayurveda. Once ayurveda is destroyed in india. This ayurveda will be pushed from America then we will accept. I am not a religious person but ayurveda is great. If you see some tribal people they have knowledge to give anti venom herbs for snake bite. In Jai Bhim movie also that leading lady treats snake bites. Even actor Mahesh Babu after going through severe migraine he tries all modern medicine and after going through all this pain he went for chakrasiddha nadi vaidhyam through which it was healed. His interview is available on KZbin. The world view has changed it is about who pushes narrative stronger than who is right.

@@lostneutron404 Do what ever you want to do. But ayurveda is about healing through natural ways by taking healthy diet and avoiding junk food. It is about prevention by cutting down harmful foods, teaches about not taking life stressful and making life style changes, where as modern medicine neither tells about cutting down harmful food nor stress relief but it gives medicine to heal the problem. Of course during emergency modern medicine is the best. Both are good in their own way.

I really don’t understand ppl who defend ayurveda with so much passion. They say they are proud of Indian culture and the sages, etc etc who invented ayurveda. But I always felt we were taking the wrong lessons. I don’t believe in the science of ayurveda, but I genuinely respect our ancestors who made it. They were ppl with no understanding of microbiology. All their work was trail and error. They noticed a pattern and they just documented all of it. They were limited by the tech of their time. But they had the scientific mind to seek out solutions. They weren’t just sitting there and praying to god, even though that too has a big part in religion. They actually went looking for answers, however flawed their solutions maybe. Instead of admiring their attitude of seeking answers, we are hell bent on worshipping their inventions. We have better tech and understanding of human body and chemicals. We have better methods to make medicines. You can be proud of your ancestors even if they were wrong coz they tried and did the best they could. Don’t let this blind love and pride cloud your scientific judgement.

@30:48 I can assure you from my personal experience that whatever the doc is saying is actually true. I was diagnosed with psoriasis 5 years back and I had consumed a lot of medicines including allopathy, homeopathy and also ayurvedic medicines for almost 2+ years but I was never cured. I also had to change switch my career track from mechanical to IT because of this skin disease. But the body actually heals on its own(not completely for me as of now). I have not consumed any sort of medication from last 2 years still my scaling is in control(80% less than what it was earlier), it kind of is not cureable but scaling comes slightly and goes in a very cyclic manner. Conclusion : Ayurvedic medicine claimed a lot but never helped for me and its a mental torture when you follow all the diet, medicine and instructions and still don't get result

Still not buying that explanation. This seems like a case of denying the effects of Ayurveda for the sake of it using the guise of "remission". Coincidence is attributed as larger factor than Ayurvedic treatment simply for the sake of denying that Ayurvedic medicine has any positive effect. Its denialism. Even if let's say Ayurveda cures someone's diabetes, "medical professionals' would claim "remission" or "coincidence" no matter how much consistency the results showed. Sadly a lot of unconscious bias on display by practitioners of "modern medicine".

As a Ayurvedic physician i can say that there is less Quality education in colleges in BAMS..but there is a lots of doctors who is practicing SBEBA(science based evidence based Ayurveda).. Here problem is most of the BAMS doctors are prescribing lots of medicine unscientifically and there is lots of doctors who are prescribing only one medicine and reversing the chronic diseases..if you want to talk i can provide evidences and information about that doctors.. Here modern research methodology can not prove scitificity of Ayurveda because modern science is based on inductive reasoning and Ayurvedic science is based on conductive reasoning..and AYUSH ministry is also researching in wrong direction… In scientific Ayurveda there is usage of only 1-2 medicine for reversing the chronic disease..but AYUSH is looking it as a business..thats why real science is not coming on the surface level.

During the first COVID lockdown, since hospitals were closed in AP and patients could not do their diabetic follow up, many people from a particular community started recommending GILOY, which grows as a fencing weed in the nearby farms in a nearby municipality. By the time of the 2nd wave, it became a rage and when we visited our farm where it grows, we were told about it by the caretaker. He knew the Telugu name and I used a Google app to identify the scientific name after taking a photo of the leaf and realised it was GILOY which was popular by the AYUSH approved COVID preventive medications and HIMALAYA company also manufactured the supplement. I did not come across literature for GILOY use in diabetes and hence, asked the caretaker why he was mentioning it now, was it regards COVID? He said that in his municipality, diabetics who started taking GILOY on the advise of some priests [Brahmins] on the basis of Ayurvedic knowledge, 4 people died in the 1 year [not COVID] and they had developed renal failure leading to death.

You make amazing videos I request to make video on this topic I know it's not a quiet scientific topic but because after seeing your video i see you are very knowledgeable in history of science I request you to make video on why pioneers of quantum Physics schrodinger, Bohr , hisenberg, david bohm were very interested in Eastern mysticism or religion while dealing with quantum mechanics interpretation like Advait Vedanta or taoism, buddhism which states with whole world is a one consciousness and realities and then we have fritzof capra Tao of physics book in 1975 which considered by many scientists as pseudoscience but praised by heisenberg . In his book "my view of life " by schrodinger in chapter the vedantic vision he advocate for why seeing quantum mechanics with reductionist and scientific method is not useful and he advocating for so called holistic view which is vedanta. Many will say it just pseudoscience as used by people like Deepak Chopra of connecting both , but why these noble prize winners are falling for it ?

They are not falling for it. Vedanta is philosophy. They appreciatead it in that sense only. Just like they appreciatead other philosophies which they liked.
