The guy in the truck for sure, he had everything ready and been backing up longer that it takes to roll up, the guy on the boat needs to pay attention, luckily the ramps were slowish and the guy was nice, I would have told him he is gonna have a hard time getting his boat on through my truck!!

Guy with boat,trailer and truck has the ramp. He has all three pieces of required equipment ready. The other guy only has his boat there. One third of required equipment.

The returning boat has the right of way to the dock. as the trucks boat was not in the water. Dock rules apply. had the trucks boat been in the water, then the boat needed another dock. This is taught in captain license classes, returning boats have right of way, because of low fuel or any such circumstances as emergency, is why it is that way. Same with with one lane roads on a hill, up hill has right of way over down hill. Obscure laws are all over the place.

Prudence is the better part of valor. Not worth a fight or worse now a days people will pull a gun for any reason . That will ruin your day for sure

@@opossom1968 You're not wrong but they had multiple choices and the truck had already committed to that ramp and as soon as they saw it they rushed to beat him to the punch. If that had been me, I would have laughed right then and there. To each their own.

No brainer, boat is way easier to move to fix the situation. Boat has the move. I´m german my thinking is superior dont question it.

The truck has right of way. He was there first..already backing up.

The first truck had the ramp. He didn't move over for at least 3 reasons. *It's the principle of the thing. *The driver of the truck was judging how dedicated the boat skipper was to being an a55hole. *He was judging how much room he needed to do his brake-launch technique without mayhem. I would have continued my launch - failure to plan ahead on the skipper's part does not constitute an emergency on my part. Launch, crack open an iced tee, grab the camera, and watch his reaction.

They could easily walk the boat around to the other side of the dock. Trailers take precedence.

That first scene. If I had been the guy putting in, I would have been a plain A$$ and stayed there till the incoming boater moves. Just for general purpose of teaching them to pay attention.

Boater is wrong. Like boating in general, Trailer is harder and slower to move. They could have chosen all others. Most likely is that wifey told trailer guy to 'just move, don't get into it Fred..'..

Oh yeah the super sports are so light it’s easy to just move them around the bunks. I miss mine but upgraded to a montauk

The dock blocker still has his engine running. Renting is cheaper than buying when it comes to trucks.

The guy backing up the truck with his boat had the right away he already was committed. The dudes in the boat could’ve went to any open slot and from looks of it, there were a few. Dumb boaters out there just like on the road.

Who had the right of way aside, what a crew of a-holes to park it and unload everything at the dock! Do that in the parking lot! Not the dock. Not the staging area. (Probably a crew that all own jet skis too).

Should have used courtesy dock or dropped someone to get the truck .I’m not moving my truck . Good luck getting your boat out

The truck not only had first dibs on the dock but the clowns in the boat can’t remove their boat with his truck on the ramps. They had multiple ramps and the courtesy docks to go to plus their box truck was not ready to go.

Truck backing in can not see the boat approaching. The boat can see the truck heading for the spot. The boat should have gone to another dock.

If you have a boat for the first time with a trailer should you practice backing up, before you actually back up in the water. Probably in an empty parking lot.

For me, not knowing the etiquette, the truck appears to be in the right as he was backing down when the boat decided to also go for the same ramp.

My vote is with the couple. The guys in the boat could see from a long way out that the truck was going for the dock they chose. That, coupled with the technical aspect of there being a courtesy dock, I think, gives the nod to the couple. The guys were just being d*ckheads, not even acknowledging the couple as they parade past. And yep, then we get the U-Haul.

So many docks open. Move the friggin boat. Should have seen the truck backing to that dock when coming in and adjusted. Just saw the Uhaul and needed to edit. Now it all makes sense with these clowns.

Launching boat over the docking boat water looked low at that dock for 2 boats nose to tail. With empty docks and low wind pick an empty Dock to goto why hold up the slips.

According to the rule book, the tie goes to the runner. The rule book does not say which of these is the runner, so I am no help.

Guys on the boat are jerks. They should have dropped the driver off then backed off to let other traffic go until their trailer is backing down the ramp. Anybody that ties up the ramp waiting for a trailer and/or loading/unloading people/stuff at the ramp are ignorant ** expletive removed **.

There is no question the guy with the trailer should have the right of the ramp. The boat was being an entitled clown, I don't know why you have a problem saying that?

The attitude that has become so typical of Americans these days - Me, Me, Me (Me first, Me always, Me only) indicated by the boat crew that RUSHED to ensure that they were fully docked and unloading before the other boat owner could start the process of launching his boat. This attitude of not giving an inch is why so many confrontations now occur these days.

The docked boat had the dock and the trailered boat from the view at the current tide you couldn't even see the truck backing and he probably couldn't see the incoming boat either, but the docked boat was tied off so I would have changed ramps as it is easier to move.
