To explain about the Dwarven Kingdom, they have a Regency Council. A Regency Council is something that happens in one of two scenario's. Either 1) both the King and Queen Consort passed away before the Heir to the Throne is of age. or 2) there is no legitimate person (yet) to the Throne, after which either a foreign Royal takes over or they elect somebody to become the new royal family. (e.g. what happend to Bohemia [Czechia] and Hungary in 1440's). I don't know which scenario the Dwarven kingdom is in.

As an Overlord novel reader I really wish they would animate more of the material from the novels The anime is fun(got me to read my first novel) but it jas so much more potential

Honestly, now that the series is decently popular, they could do a series of movies or longer episodes that covers all the cut content and have it be from the point of view of different characters.

Bruh that scene is actually scarier in the LN,just a page 📄 covered in SPLAT is so horrifying to the imagination.. definitely one aspect where the anime undertones the weight of the moment

Even when Ainz is being kind and nice to characters theres still some darkness and misery. When making items in Yddrasil you basically make an item that has a capacity for data and then fill it with data crystals that give it appearance, stats and special abilities. That Sword with the 20 runes is just a skin applied to that weapon during crafting so Ainz is like "hey lets rediscover this technology" knowing full well thats not how his sword was made XD

The thing is that while Ainz is certainly not a force of pure good, he does have a serious soft spot for not overworking people. He certainly doesn't mind having essentially slaves, like the Eight Fingers people they've turned to their side, but he generally tries to make sure people under him don't overwork themselves. The whole system with the personal maid exists as a trick so he can get whichever maid is due to serve him personally to rest up the day before, under the guise of "you have to be at your best and most rested to be worthy of serving Ainz". In reality, it's just because they work 24/7 otherwise, and ordering them to take breaks makes them feel sad. Ainz's previous world, as you've certainly heard before, was dystopian as hell. He mentions Herohero here. He was one of the four remaining players of the guild, and the only one besides Momonga who showed up before the servers went offline, except he couldn't stay until 12AM, because he had work at like 4AM the day after and was already running on heavy sleep deprivation. The guy was so exhausted he could barely keep his thoughts straight. So when Ainz says he doesn't want to create people like him, he means it. He won't work the dwarves to death. That would be a dishonor to his dear friends.

Ainz was so clever, the fact that when he first noticed the existence of runes/stones he immediately made a bold move to make an amity relations with Dwarves kingdom. [Ains thinks]... that if it's possible to make swords with runestones, then it might be possible to create more powerful weapon such as WORL LEVEL ITEMS which considered one of the most powerful assets he has..... (Then by befriending the Dwarves then he can easily acquired these precious materials)...
