I have a pair of 19 year old corn snakes and they are STILL reproducing. Female just laid a clutch of 15! I couldn’t believe it. She laid a clutch of 13 last year too, 10 of which are alive and well now. Let’s see how many of the 15 hatch in a couple months...

Late to the video but I'm actually going through this for the third time with my 13 year old amel. Every year/other year she'll stop eating and get super restless for a few weeks, and then she'll lay a clutch of 5-8 slugs. She's actually going through this literally as I type this, doing all of the above. Now I know to just throw a tupperware egg laying box in the cage and a couple weeks later we're back to normal!

Update: She laid 13 eggs this time (2 days ago) and just took her first meal today. And obviously no eggbinding so all good!

Man, I have a female Motley Snow Corn snake I've had for the past 13 years since she was a baby. She's gone on 4 hunger Strikes for 3-5 weeks, and every time she's laid 9-15 eggs. Her most recent clutch was in 2018. Never been bred in her life. Shame she's past her prime to breed :/

2024 my eight year old just laid 21 over a 5 day period. No male, no she has never done that before.

Cool video, my 25 year old ball python laid eggs last year without a male and should be laying this year very soon too. Last year it was 48 days from prelay shed to egg laying, whereas it's normally around 30 days apparently. Can you tell me how many days it was for your corn from prelay shed and if it was longer than average due to her age? There's not a lot of info on this and I'm stressing waiting for these eggs, thanks.

We have a 23 yr old corn snake whom we thought was a male all these years that surprised us when we came home with 2 mice for him/(her) & found a clutch of at least 24 eggs! Wth!? Can you help explain this? Could my snake have changed gender?
