Analyze direct listing competition to start is the best way and use chatgpt ask it for best case high search keywords for the product, it will give you a list of all the possible words available to you for your product

Hi Hannah, does the goal of etsy ads matter? I was changing the ads goal from 'drive orders short-term' to 'take my sales to a notch' (while adds the budge per day since I found it could not stand for a whole day) and then I found the traffic increases but the orders dropped a lot...

Transaction Fees When you make a sale through Etsy.com, you will be charged a transaction fee of 6.5% of the price you display for each listing plus the amount you charge for shipping and gift wrapping

I think I missed the strategy? Was it 14.3% TACOS…and did you have TACOS figured out when you made your $2mil in revenue…or only after you developed Profitree?

Yes let me explain. So the way I would teach before was still TAcos but calculated based off the limitations of the Etsy interface. I would teach and run my own ads based off spend / total sales, BUT total sales was technically not correct. I ran ads based off TAcos but only based on total sales inside your Etsy shop (remember total sales NOT sales from the ad), which does not include revenue from the click but purchased something else. So this does not fully represent TAcos and the holistic quality of the clicks from the listing. But it is no ones fault since Etsy does not give it to you. Doing it the way I used to teach, does show you "worst case scenario tacos" but technically still not correct in the way ProfitTree is calculating it perfectly.

Ok thank you for your response. So in essence, is ProfiTree calculating ROAS based upon a total Ad spend vs. total net earnings? How are you tracking what an individual buyer does after they click on a listing, and then find your shop through that listing and make a different purchase via a seperate listing with Etsy Ads turned off?
