I got mashed between 2 trucks in 99 and messed up pretty good-- and have , for the last 24 years - dealt with pretty much constant pain and I've tried others exercises on here- and for some reason YOURS works. I'm checking out ALL your vides now.. ) THANKS.. I'm also considering training with the gymnastics method-- which begin with JOINT PREP first-- safely- and then STATIC exercises with flexing-- and dynamic isometris.. before working into calisthenics later...... Does that sound like a safe decent plan??? I'm 66 and overweight (working on that with Carnivore)...on top of the getting mashed between the 2 trucks.

I definitely need this. If I have external tibial rotation, on these exercises should I let my feet be pointed out, or start with feet pointing forward (knees want to go inward)? Thanks!
@blueSfire772 жыл бұрын
I have the same problem but only on my right side. What I would do prior to doing this exercise is to drill tibial internal rotation with the focus on driving your knees out while maintaining pressure on the inside of your heel as much as possible. If you have trouble with driving your knees out you could firstly stretch the internal hip rotators like the adductors, piriformis, anterior part of glute medius etc. After everything listed above it should be easier doing the exercise in this video while keeping your feet straight without your knees caving in. This way you won't enforce faulty movement patterns with recruitment of the hyperactive muscles that keep you in tibial external rotation and relative femoral internal rotation. I think it is also important to retrain movement patterns, teaching your body how to recruit the external hip rotators like the glute max. while having pressure on the inside of your heel a.k.a. tibial internal rotation. Connor has some great videos on these subjects!

Either from an injury year ago or as a result of my thoracic spine. For me weakness of the feet are mainly caused by conventional footwear, which are neither really considering the space needed by the feet (especially compressing the toes) nor allowing it to perform its functions. They also not allow for sensing the ground, which adds to the problem. A lot of feet support=weak feet, use it or lose it. That's why a lot of us choose to spend the most time being barefoot as possible, and wearing minimalist shoes.

Could you "feel" this also in your hips, obliques (?), knees, back, etc? (If so, I wonder... Could broader engagement both help to stabilize any shaking but also go on to benefit other range of motion activities?) Also I wonder: is it possible to generate warm sensations (eg, from added circulation) under the skin which can persist for more than one hour after the activity?
@ydezayydezay20382 жыл бұрын
I’d like to note that the hruska clinic recommended shoes most definitely don’t “strengthen” people’s feet. Those weighty shoes remove our intuitive connection from using foot muscles to move.
