I only recommended the Mega Battle Royale because it’s going to make the most sense when it comes to the current post credit storyline that TerminalMontage is telling in these Battle Royales currently.

I think adding the tcg to this content adds a bit of spice to the BR because you get some unexpected finalists going up against the Pokémon you’d expect to be at the top. A good example is the mega evolution BR and the Dynamax BR but I’m not saying anymore cause spoils

⁠@@Skarap The issue is when 1/3 of the cast is Grass-Type in a Battle Royale, Swampert gonna get yeeted more than a third of the time by a single grass attack. Swampy was the only starter with a crippling weakness, which hurt its chances of becoming one of the last ones standing.

Oddly enough, my 2nd most valuable card I have is a Charizard card. It's the Mega-X Charizard EX card from the XY - Flashfire set. I thought it was only worth like $95 until I realized that I had the "Secret" gold version which bumped its value up to $312. And for a while, that was my most valuable card in my collection until my cousin gave me an Umbreon card as a birthday gift. I don't think he realized that the Umbreon EX card from the Unseen Forces set was worth $485 when he gifted it to me XD

Infernape shouldn't have died that early, he's got better overall stats than BOTH samurotts, and it's pokedex says "it's beaten by NONE in terms of quickness", so how did any hits from H. Samurott even land? That "caught off guard" reason doesn't make sense, if the pokedex means anything that Infernape should've thought fast and seen that surprise coming. Cinderace dying that early would've made more sense

I agree! Infernape got hoed fosho. In a case by case bases, inernape would win more often than not.

I honestly think Infernape and Swampert got shafted in this battle. Them losing the way they did just don't make sense to me, like, majority of Infernape's base stats are better than H. Samurott's, plus ceaseless edge should've have been effective on Infernape given it's a dark-type move, and what happened to "it is beaten by none in terms of quickness"? And in Swampert's case, wasn't Rillaboom already dead?

Blaziken even without attacking can learn baton pass. All of a sudden, without a trick room pokemon, stakataka is sweeping with a non-stab earthquake Even slowbro is suseptible to blaz because it can learn night slash

Swampert is arguably the most overall solid of the Water/Grounds, though, having the highest stats among them. Quagsire, Whiscash, Gastrodon and Seismitoad (You forgot about him) are generally more metagame-dependant threats.

@@Wesker1984 The thing is, it's not all that great at dealing with things that _aren't_ setup sweepers. As I said, metagame-dependant. If setup sweepers (at least, ones that can't break through it anyway) aren't common, Quag isn't as good as Swampert is.
