Thanks for the insight Nick! Never heard this one before. I always setup several campaign for TOF, MOF, BOF. Quick questions: 1. Would like to confirm, so you don't use audience at all (50% video play, lookalike, add to card, etc)? 2. How exactly do you create an ad for 'retargeting'? Are you talking about the content/script of the ad? 3. You said copy post id, not creating new ad. Is this content needs to be posted? For ads I don't usually post it on my feed. 4. What about placement, do you always use advantage placement? If yes, that means your creative is 1080x1350 to fit both feed and story? I just can't wrap my mind how simple you setup the structure... Might definitely give it a go!
@NickTheriot Жыл бұрын
1. Yes no audiences at all 2. Correct, comes down to what i put in the ad 3. I copy the post id of the ad from my winning dct 4. I use auto placements - 1x1 for images and 4x5 for videos, i don't worry about story.

@@NickTheriot Thanks Nick! 1. Is the affect of copy post id and duplicating the ad differ? Like if we copy then somehow the algorithm already set on that one to be reused instead of starting over? 2. Let say there's 2 audience for my case IOS & Android. That means there will be 2 winning adset on this 1 campaign? And I need to run dtc test separately for IOS & Android?

Hi Nick, Please can you explain to me why what it was that made you turn off the 2 ads within your main adset at 8:12?. Looking at the metrics I’m trying to figure out why you turned them off considering they were under your target CPA? Apologies this is just purely for my understanding🙏🏼🙂 Thank you so much

Hey Nick!! Thanks for the amazing value on your channel. Quick question: 1. Do you suggest that we scratch all ads that speak to a retargeting audience directly i.e. "Hey, i see you were interested in______ but didnt finish shopping"... That style copy if opened up to a broad audience gets tons of ppl just questioning your retargeting and really shi*%ng on you in the comments, especially for my for digital marketing services in latin america. 2. Also, if you only want to give low hanging fruit (Checkout Visits etc)..Cupons, discounts, to close them...what do you do then. I'm just finding it hard to wrap my head around not having ANY media retargeting when some of my most profitable ad sets have been Checkout visitors. Thanks for your time man!
@NickTheriot Жыл бұрын
1. No, because facebook creates an audience around those who resonate with that ad. 2. I would do the same just with no audiences selected

Hi Nick, I run a jewellery store. If I'm running ads for say earrings and necklace. Should I create separate CBO campaign - one for earrings and one for necklace, And run ads for the hero product respectively. Or should I create just one CBO campaign and create ads that combine both pieces in one ad like - How to style for office (and that includes both pieces in one single UGC video) ?
@NickTheriot Жыл бұрын
You could combine both of those in one cbo.

Hey Nick, 1) I noticed when you mentioned that the "Adset capped out at 50," I was curious about how it works when you enable "dynamic creative" since you cannot duplicate and create more ads. Can you explain the process? 2) Does the Broad targeting strategy only work for eCommerce or can it also be applied to local area businesses etc? I apologize for these basic question 🙂
@NickTheriot Жыл бұрын
1. I just start a new campaign and move the winning ads adset over, set the new campaign budget as the existing one, and let it rip. Keep in mind i've only had one account where this happened. 2. All businesses

1. Do you still recommed your ad account structure/strategy for messaging ads and traffic ads? 2. What is your exp separating the Main adset and DCT adset into different campaigns? was thinking to use this strategy for msg ads but no DCT in engagement objective. 3. what metric do you base mainly when turning off ads in the main adset? 4. For new Products, what market awareness stage do you usually go test first in your ads? This is so far the most decent strategy I've seen in the "slow is fast" strategies out there! keep crushing brother
@NickTheriot Жыл бұрын
1. Yes 2. I prefer one campaign, multiple campaigns doesn't make sense 3. CPA & SPEND is my only metrics i'm worried about 4. For a new product, i like to determine what market awareness competitors are doing and then start there. But i test them all

Nice. One question: If the ad creates the audience as you say, why would you do different products in another campaign? Is it because it makes a difference or just because you want to have it more organised? Thanks!
@NickTheriot Жыл бұрын
Organization! Secondly, i try to focus on only promoting 1-2 products at a time, more products does not mean you'll make more. Focus only on your 1-3 best sellers that make 70% or more of your revenue.

Thanks man, can you elaborate it further hopefully you can here in the comments, how does the retargeting works using your broad targeting method when you are just using main asset & dct adsets, and moving winning dct ads to the main adset correct? so how does the retargeting work in that method? Thanks.
@NickTheriot Жыл бұрын
Facebook creates an audience around each ad. If the ad is created with the intention of only a retargeting audience would resonate, then facebook will show it more to people that fit that bucket.

couldn't this approach result in users seeing a BOF ad prior to the TOF ad resulting in confusion?
@NickTheriot Жыл бұрын
Facebook creates an audience based off the people who resonate with the ad. So a bof ad with bof messaging will only reach people who resonate with that type of messaging
@drewgallagher6639 Жыл бұрын
@@NickTheriot if your BOF ad is offering a discount to entice people to convert and your TOF isn't, you may miss out on more revenue. If the TOF ad is for brand awareness, then the BOF ad will try to convert people who aren't aware. There's no structure for the journey.
@drewgallagher6639 Жыл бұрын
@@NickTheriot ok but that could be a cold audience, so therefore it's really a TOF ad for all of those people.
@drewgallagher6639 Жыл бұрын
@@NickTheriot in theory all of your audience could go to the BOF ad so you aren't retargeting at all. I don't think this is a viable strategy that consistently works
@NickTheriot Жыл бұрын
@@drewgallagher6639 Something I’m not worried about at all, if the “bof” ad with a discount converts better at scale and drives down cpa, then what’s the problem with that? As long as you know your numbers, you shouldn’t be offering an insane discount any way to drive customers that could put your business in jeopardy. Also, that bof ad is reliant tof spend as well. So how do you know that bof ad is really profitable after you take in the impact of that spend, Lastly, if you only spending a few bucks a day on that bof ad and getting small amounts of revenue but “high roas on it” why spend time on something that drives little revenue to the business?

Really interesting setup, at the moment I have only one prospecting ad in my main adset, I'll definetly try it out! A couple questions btw: 1. When testing the ‘retargeting’ ads in a DCT adset, how will you find the winner if the criteria to find a winning ad is it should take most amount spent? Since the retargeting ad will reasonate with less people (as you say in the video) and will have less spend, so how can it beat the prospecting ads in terms of spend. 2. Do you test creative concepts for every country? Or you use the same tests in all campaigns?
@NickTheriot Жыл бұрын
1. This is where you'll pull a winning ad into the adset with less % of the total spend. 2. Yes
