Being an equipment operator with a lot of experience on excavators I can see that Jake is giving it all it has. By the time they are done with all of this that machine will need a complete rebuild from the tracks to every pin and bushing on the machine. And I would guess that machine cost him between 150,000.00 and 250,000.00 depending on how old it is. He knows the damage that is being done but he is willing to do it to get these people back on their feet. This man and all the others down there with their own equipment need all the help they can get. These machines are their source of income when they get back to the normal jobs. They can ill afford to have to rebuild an entire machine. So help them as much as you can. I am blown away by their dedication to helping people.

I was wondering about the excess wear and tear on this machine. I could hear the squeezing and creaking as he moved and carried huge rocks. God Bless him and his family. Jake has single handedly saved so many people. Some that were stranded were injured and couldn't walk out , some ran out of medicine and most needed food or gas for generator. Where is our Government? That's why we pay taxes for FEMA to do this but I guess we have to take care of our own people. I hope and Pray Jake gets a new excavator soon, I bet there's a new one sitting on some air, army or marine base somewhere BRING IT TO NC & let Jake have it 😁❤️🇺🇸 GOD Bless you all

There's a special place in Heaven for Jake. Thank you, Jake for helping the people from North Carolina.
@heatherclayton-callaghan42702 ай бұрын
That's a lie of the devil. There are no special places in Heaven for any spirit. If you are a believer, saved by faith in Jesus Christ has died and risen again ti forgive you of your sin ,are water baptised and Boen Again of the Holy Spirit of God, and are daily living a life of obedience to God ,then when your body does your spirit will go to Heaven for eternity.but good works will mot get you into Heaven and good works won't getbyou a special place in Heaven. Thatsxall lies. Read your Bible, become saved by the work of the cross, and live a life that reflects Christ and you'll have a peace that passes all earthly understanding. But it's wrong and sinful to spread falsehoods about eternity. Those doing good works to enter Heaven are going to hell cos ONLY by the d3bt Christ paid can our sins be forgiven and a relationship with God can be restored. Hell is separation from God , where EVERYONE who has not confessed they are sinners needing saving by accepting Gods forgiveness bought nd paid for, by the death and resurrection of His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ , living a new life in the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. Do mot be deceived. GOD is not mocked, whatsoever a man sows the same shall he reap. Galations6:7 This is the scripture that the devil has hijacked and now calls karma.

I went to Valdosta, Georgia to help with the hurricane relief through Samaritan's Purse. I'm from Kansas and have been through tornadoes and some flooding in the Kansas City area...I was not ready for what I saw in Valdosta. And to think that western North Carolina was many times worse. The experience gave me a new outlook on just how fragile and precious life is.

That song is beautiful! That 18 year old has been through so much & all he wants to do is get back to school. It's not easy being away from your friends when you are that age. It broke my heart when he was talking about missing school and sports practices bc it wasn't safe for him to go in the dark. You would think the state would have gotten to these kids to make sure they could attend school. That's just crazy! Their hero Jake comes in and gets a temporary drive put in in about 8 hours, Why didn't someone come out sooner than that?! Yes they have a home and there's others worse off than they are but they couldn't get to their home with a vehicle. I would have thought that would have been at the top of the list for emergency repairs. Thankfully we have angels like Jake who want to help & come in and does what needs to be done without all the red tape. Anyway thanks for sharing their story with us! I hope they can start the healing process and their 18 year old can get back to practice and school. Keep stories like this coming please we all need to see this. The beautiful spirit of our country Americans helping Americans! It doesn't get any better than that!!

I cannot wrap my brain around all the destruction you are showing in your videos. I have lived in northwestern NC for 75 years and I have never seen anything that comes close to Helene. What amazes me is that the hurricane traveled hundreds of miles and still had the power to completely devastate the mountains. Hugo is the only storm that only comes close and it was nothing compared to Helene.

Hugo went west from the coast , stalled, and then backtracked, ripped up stuff good, but nothing like Helene.. Some places got 30+ inches in one or two days. It's always been my theory that ever since the massive deforestation in the rainforest, that all those trees held moisture, now they are gone there is more moisture on the loose, that would have been tempered .

Interesting tidbit of info. Last year We adopted a young tabby cat from a rescue group in our area of Florida. His name was Paradise Falls. Now Chai. He is the color of the beautiful fall trees of golds and rich browns and a tiger stripe tummy like the bobcats. He is unique in color and beauty just like the beautiful Paradise Falls where you live. I asked how they came up with that name and they said, at the time they were naming kittens after places on the map. We camped in the area of the Appalachian Mts. many years ago when our children were young and are heartbroken about the devastation we watched on KZbin. We got trapped on a mountain in a campsite near Cades Cove ourselves in the 70's and had to wait 2 days for the water to go down to cross the bridge to get out! Very scary indeed and something you never forget. All the best to you! and God bless the helping hands that gave of their time to help when it was so desperately needed!

Hey, we also came to east Tennessee from Houston, TX. Harvey hit and 80% of our former neighborhood was flooded. Our house there was not. Maybe we were trying to get away from the hurricanes, but mostly we left because of the heat and humidity. Where we are, we were safe, but areas around us were not so lucky. Our only problem was having no water or internet or cell phones for almost a week. That was nothing. We pray for all y'all to get through this trial. I never knew something so big, clunky, and loud could be so graceful. Incredible the precision that Jake has. Thank you so much for your inspiration, work, and dedication to help others in need.
