What a kind gesture to offer that cow to the owner, but I'm glad you got to keep it.

Jason, I posted this separately, but I wanted to recommend that you check out a falconry demonstration if you ever get the chance! I saw one in Scotland, and seeing those hunting birds in motion is just an incredible experience-the speed peregrine falcons fly when striking their prey is literally like seeing a blur.

That bell is called a crotal bell……it is not a falconry bell.

The cow is a vintage Taxco Mexico Sterling Silver and Black Enamel Pin. The TV-94 indicates T for the location of Taxco, the V is the first initial of the makers last name and 94 indicates it was the 94th maker with the last name starting with a V. It's probably about 20.5 grams weight. There are many for sale online. Value if the Pin was intact is about $50-60 online auctions. Not rare, but a nice chunk of Sterling Silver.

I feel your pain with the Silver buckle. 😌. Over here in England about 2 years ago digging on pasture land I recieved a signal and dug down and turned over the top and saw a piece of silver in the side of the top and picking it up I realised it was a silver buckle fragment then looking in the hole I could see other broken pieces staring back at me. 😢. There were 5 pieces all told making a full 17th century Silver Jacobean Shoe Buckle with cast flowers all round. 😬. I still to this day don't know if I broke it or it was already broken but it did glue back together and displays welli n my cabinet. 😊. Alls well that ends well. 😀.
