Ah yes Crimea. My usual theodoro strategy revolved around blobbing into Georgia and stabbing enough Orthodox nations as to grow strong enough to ally Muscovy. Then I stopped. Turned around. Went way over force limit. Allied the right nations for Mil Access. Declared on low maintenance Crimea. Stackwipped then. Conquered almost all of them And while I just finished coring, the Polish-Lithuanian Union declared on me. I laughed and quit the game only to try again the next day. But that has to be my saltiest moment till date.

Honestly, i know that sea builds are more for multiplayer and are absolutely not needed in singleplayer, but guess showing build for sea nation is worth it.

@@olliejobson6371 Honestly, I think hordes aren't super-popular - I think some players are intimidated by the idea of constant, unending war - it seems pretty exhausting. But I think even intermediate players would be surprised at how well they do. A few practice games, and they'll doing something close to what Ludi does here. Maybe not exact, but pretty close. There wasn't really any cheese here (though he did get some good RNG). Of course, can players MAINTAIN these sudden gains? A different question!

@@123denaro juggling religions, and you expand east faster than eastern hordes usually expand west.

@@123denaro 1. You can expand in all directions to avoid coalitions instead of only westwards. 2. Way better techgroup -> better unitpips 3. Easy access to institutions 4. Capital in Europe for big trade income and being able to have trade companies (was way more important in the past)

@@123denaro it used to be stronger because only Europeans had TC companies. Now Oirat is the strongest hord because you can do what Ludi did to Ming but in 1444 so you instantly start with a ton of mana + 5000 gold, which is enough to drill into India, China and Russia all at the same time. Kazan is probably the second best horde because their ideas are the best and they have a gold mine but it takes them longer to get to China/India Uzbek is actually the most noob friendly horde because its the biggest, no one strong borders you and you can expand against Kazan-Moscov and against China and against India from the start. Plus you can switch tags to Timurds for pretty strong ideas

Whenever I play, also when not horde though no razing, I tend to raze and create vassals if sizable country cores like astra. Not sure if right move, but I save mana that way. I'm betting Ludi didn't because low dev lands.

Vassals and reconquest is a great strat, but as a horde mana problems can be easily solved with conquest. You can even sell or gift the provinces back once you've razed them

Probably the least useful to have dlc since there is no estate with hordes but there is probably a few things missing still. Money is going to be tighter I think as trade company can help move more money faster, upgrading center of trade also, professionalism is useless here so you are probably better without the dlc, ottoman and Russia will be easier as less bonus for them. Georgia as a march is quite useful though and no march without dlc.

I tried it on very hard, I reached Ming in 1565, money is tight, mana for mil is great but other stuff it's tight unless you don't make full cores. Before getting the ideas or the reform it's tight unless you can kill everything around you, on very hard it's not as easy, but I didn't concentrate dev so that's maybe why. But not certainly much more easy than Granada on very hard, do a video on that if you can, everyone talk about byzantine start as you get free cores but as Granada not many talks, I guess it's not as fun.

Concentrating development gives your capital a huge boost that could otherwise cost 999 mana, razing doesn't come near that

Most of that land isn’t worth it anyway, horde gameplay is about fueling your conquests with more conquests ie nonstop war, not building up an empire
