I love my PS VR 2. GT 7 is amazing, especially if you have a wheel and pedal setup. I've tried going back to my Qust 2 standalone but struggle because the look and feel is so much better on PS VR 2. Those triggers and those haptics are definitely missed when I was playing my Quest. If you've ever done a day to night race in GT 7 then you've seen just how good those lenses are with blacks as well as the light because it looks very dark at night and day the sun definitely shines bright.

Psvr2 is great and makes gaming exciting again for me. Now I hope Sony doesn’t stop to support it and get a lot of great vr games for their system. I’m extremely hyped for Resident Evil 4 Remake vr mode for the Psvr2. Already loved Village and RE7 on Psvr1.

Me too man, me too! I’m sure this is just the beginning. PSVR1 didn’t have any good games for almost a year after launch, and we already have a bunch just 2 months after the PSVR2. Can’t wait for Firewall Ultra, looks awesome from the trailer. Thanks for watching!

Vr2 is the best on the market at present . I would also recommend getting prescription lenses that fit over the headset lenses. Makes a huge difference .

Even if someone doesn't have ps5 1100 is still a very good deal for the graphics quality and smooth gameplay psvr2 gives. I wasn't blown away with quest 2 and sold it but psvr2 did really blown my mind and i love it and i keep it for sure

Yeah absolutely! The Quest 2 is not bad, but if you compare stand-alone graphics with PSVR2, then yeah, the difference is night and day. Anyway I fully agree, for 1100 it’s a very very good package.

The thing with audio: get the 3d pulse headphones. They fit over the headset and they are awesome. People never mention this and it's a shame.

Yeah I was just looking at them on Amazon last night. Are they comfy enough? I’m just worried I’ll get too hot with those on too, but I might give them a try. It's just hard. Standalone definitely has more constraining qualities over PCVR / PSVR. Yet, I find myself rarely playing VR as it's just so clunky using the Quest 2 with PCVR. I like that you mention how seemless PSVR is in comparison to PCVR. It kind of makes me think of how PCVR could be "Android" and PSVR could be "IOS" in a way. PSVR is just optimized for what it is and easier to conform to whilst PCVR can be more open but has more hassle to get into.

Nice seeing you here man! And yes you're 100% correct, PSVR is optimized for one purpose and one purpose only, and it's gaming. On PC there are just so many other pieces of software running that there are tons of potential failure points along the way. On the other hand, it does have the advantage of wireless PCVR, but it really depends on the type of experiences each person enjoys. And yeah a standalone format with this quality would be insane. It would be cool if Sony brought back the Vita in the shape of a PSVR Vita stand-alone 🤯

I really enjoy my PSVR2! I have a Quest 2 and still use it for Supernatural exercise and Walkabout Mini-golf. But when it comes to games, the PSVR2 just blows away the Quest 2. Resident Evil Village should be played in VR on this headset! Truly an amazing experience.

Glad to hear that, and both are still great headsets. Indeed for more casual stuff or exercising, the Quest 2 or Pico 4 are still better, but for immersive, high quality games, the PSVR2 is amazing. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment Dean, appreciate it!

I got a quest 2 in 2021 and an old ass pc and I played re8 village with a vr mod and boy oh boy I can just imaging how much better the psvr 2 experience is...I want one now I just can't justify the purchase cuz it's not pc compatible as of yet...but I want one

I've been following the modder that's trying to do it and he's hitting roadblock after roadblock, plus now that I've tried it myself, I'd say using it on PC would just take away the simplicity of just picking it up and playing anywhere in your house.

@@VRManCave it's crazy how advanced the psvr2 is with its eye tracking and haptics ...it's sad Sony doesn't get the picture. I feel the psvr2 would replace a lot of pc headset rigs if it were compatible. Although quest2 isn't powerful I'm been blown away for how far vr has come since My first experiences with the galaxy gear vr.

wouldnt describe quest 2's tracking as "on par" with lighthouse tracked controllers. its great when the cameras can see it but they often can't. even regular things like drawing a bow back or throwing from behind your head are problems

I got aftermarket lenses for mine and at 100 dollars isn't cheap but it has blue filter and makes the image much sharper . I would recommend getting these . Also get a silicon cover for the headset for those times you accidentally hit it .

Dude is lying, likely spamming to sell product, i know for a fact a blue light filter does nothing to help with MURA or quality, its the double green diodes in the screen that create mura, its been shown on other channels sunglasses that block out green light not blue light eliminate the MURA effect. However this reduces brightness as no lens company sells any lenses that block out the green spectrum with clear lenses similar to how blue light computer lenses work. Many channels have tried blue lens glasses and it does nothing to help. I hate liars with a passion. Its possible the sharpness he speaks of is his no need for prescription glasses, but dont think blue filter does any help

The mura was so overblown I notice it in like 3% of my gameplay time it's like screen door effect but even less so , I could look past that easily enough too

Yeah it is narrow. It helps if you bring the whole thing closer to your face but if this had pancake lenses it would have been absolutely incredible.

No no, because if you have my eyes then you can get the centre perfect but look towards the extremes on the edge and it’s a bloody mess of blur and red shift. It might be that they are opening up side vision that basically isn’t ready yet and Oculus decided to hide that. Both have their advantages

The fov is just higher on PSVR2 compared to Quest 2, so yes there will be some color fringing at the edges but honestly far from being a deal breaker for me. And yeah you’re right, both are still great products, they are just slightly different in target audience imo.

99% of people don't notice the mura effect? Are you joking? The mura effect issue for psvr2 is a hot topic anywhere. And i must say, in dark or plain color scenes, the mura effects is,really bad and distracting. Im happy most headset vr companies going for lcd or mini led panels. Because they know how bad oled panels are for vr headsets. Also, the wire headsets must slowly be replaced with wireless headsets. The wirless headsets are the future of vr headsets.

I've had tens of people try my PSVR2, and talked to many others that have their own, and they don't even know what Mura is or what it looks like, they all love the PSVR2. Yes if you're a VR enthusiast you will notice any imperfection in any headset, but for regular consumers, it's a fantastic experience. It's my opinion, it doesn't have to be the only one in the world, and I'm not claiming that :)

How does this work for someone with glasses. Can I use this without glasses and get a clear video?

Hey Michael! There are prescription lenses that attach directly to it which you can buy to use it without glasses. Alternatively the headset has a button that allows you to pull it closer or push it further away from your face to fit it over your glasses. Hope that helps!

I love how the power cable to the vr headset itself cannot be unplugged and replace. so if your dog chews up a $30 wire.. you cannot just go get a new $30 wire, oh no no no, you have to get a new $400+ psVR headset with the same exact cable you went out to replace. hope your dog, cat, or child learn the lesson the first time or you are gonna be replacing "cables lol" for awhile

Mate stop spreading false info. The cable is actually removable, it’s connected in the front of the headset via usb-c and routed to the back. I pondered if I should mention that in the video or not but I guess I should’ve 🤣

If u have a nose bridge (bump) and a low IPD it will not be comfortable on your noes no matter how u wear it. Im still keeping it tho it is not that comfortable cuz there isnt anything better without spending 6 grand
