Yk what prevents flaking for me is splitting my hair into 4 big sections and applying all my products that way. And I start with a little on each section and build if I feel like I need more. Also i use my oils during that process so i won't have to add oil to my fingers as I take it down I find doing it then makes it feel greasy

Aye, Jess Aye!!! I used the My Black is Beautiful line back in 2019, I found that the shampoo kinda made my strands stick together...I tried it 3 times I didn't understand. The Intense recovery treatment was awesome. The Curl Cream had a bit of flaking for me, but at the same time that line provides a smell I can't really deal with-- fragrant for sure. I tried 3 times. But I know other people really like this line. I'd like a different smell for my headaches. This looks great!

I am loving the definition and no frizzing, but I see there was some flaking. That is a BIG problem I’m experiencing with my daughter with pretty much all products. (I’m not heavy handed with the products either. I’m too cheap for that.)

To avoid flakes you have to make sure the hair has more water on it.

Make sure the products you’re using mix well before applying to the hair! I typically always mix my leave ins and stylers in my palm to make sure it’s smooth and not clumpy. If it’s clumpy in my palm, it’ll be clumpy and flakey in my hair.

My hair changes colors like that. My dad has British people in his ancestry, and has some strands of blond hair, so I figured that was why. Could be either that or the sun just bleaching it. Just a guess. Nice work, and yes flatwists take a long time to dry, but always look great.
