To give credit to the siren from the weird lab game, that's the universal emergency siren. Here in Kentucky its what tells us Tornados are near and I know some costal places use it for tsunamis and stuff. It would technically be the correct sound for some kind of zombie invasion thing.

Have completely scrapped the third person mode. If you can't get something perfect, don't bother at all. Since that have been focusing on delivering a solid FPS experience, without trying to switch between third and first and it's been working out a lot better. ;)

First it sounds like a joke, then they take it so seriously with their message that being homeless sucks that it's unsurvivable, so then it turns back into this arcade game where you try to get a little bit further every time you die, and that's before you learn that your goal is to become the Hobo King and sit on the Hobo Throne, and that's when you burst out laughing and uninstall it. FIVE HOURS is the average limit for most players of Hobo Tough Life, and the option to quit the game is literally called "Rage Quit".

When a game reaches "early access" going on three years... that's no longer early access and it needs to be pulled from ALL stores so people don't waste their money. Games can then update their game and release it to Steam or other stores so players can critique the game but FOR FREE, no charges until the game has received positive review from the gaming community interested in playing their game.

I feel like a lot of these devs can't polish things. They can load in assets but they don't really *work* with those assets to stitch them nicely together. Like, getting an asset into your engine is just the first part. There are always bugs and rough edges when you implement any feature or asset and the majority of work in development is not creation, but REFINEMENT.

Depends on the scale of the project. Most of the time, the point of early access is to show off that you (or your team) have what it takes to create the high-quality game that will live up to the promises. If you make the most unoriginal game of all time that only proves your ability to use the most basic functions of a game engine, no one is going to like it. Most of the games on this list had no potential because they had no vision to begin with. Because of that, they put in a map, the ability to walk around in a clunky manner, clunky AI, the ability to damage and kill the AI in an unsatisfying way... And because all the basic functions were there, the devs thought the games were good enough for early access. If they knew what they were doing, they'd also know that their games in their current state have zero original ideas and have no potential to be successful with such small budgets.

There goes your pitot tube , ice blocked your pitot tubes so no more speed data and possible wrong altitude readings (given the other pitot tube fails as well) , Given the atmospheric pressure and altitude you're going too slow and climbing too rapidly might develop into a wing stall sooner or later at this rate. Edit: that confirms my suspicions 8:38 , Put your power to 92% , turn on pitot heaters as well as windshield de-icing and wing deicing boots on ffs else that ice will cause a lot of drag further fricking up your airflow on the wings and result in an unrecoverable stall as this is a propeller aircraft and it will have the tendency to veer to the left, God please this hurts xD lower the mixer lever slightly.

The thing is, if these games were free and marketed as a test of the developers skill rather than a full fledged game, it would be find. But they are asking you to PAY for a COD 18 ripoff they probably made in a few weeks worth of work. Unless they have godly modeling skills and the shittiest EVERYTHING ELSE, there is no way they made any of the remotely convincing models in this game. Speaking in relation to the game at 5:38 for my examples

A lot of the devs took the money and ran. Some of the devs made no progress or VERY little over 3 years. So...they kinda deserve it. I see the Hobo game being made by people with other jobs. The others just seem to be cash grabs. The ghost platoon might also be people with other jobs but if the game is bad....it’s bad.
