Itd definetely be interesting how they could proceed, would we return to 2v2? Or would we return to 3v3 like mvc2&3. Definetely a newer roster would be great. There also could be a newer selection of heroes for Marvel. Moon knights, shang chi, daredevil. Newer heroes they might want to checkbox for their side and KEEP x men please at least some of them.

I remember another channel talking about how Capcom wanted more Marvel characters in Infinite, but Marvel wanted to only put heroes that are going to appear in the movies. I hope this convinces Marvel to keep the game universe separate from the movie/tv show universe.

This game releasing on the Switch is wonderful for me. Portability makes it so that I can bring it to family and friends gathering, and I know for a fact it's gonna hype to play with my people. I remember the PS3 days of learning about MvC2 thanks to my older big cousin when I was a kid, and now I'm aiming to do the same with the younger generations.

I definetely recommend playing through all of them. Theres gonna be a bunch of button changes however that your gonna have to get used to like mvc2 only has 4 buttons and mvc1 has standard 6. And the style of play is different but its like sugar straight to the brain playing the games I hope you enjoy

MVC 2 is legit a rare LEGENDARY game 😮 It has not been topped SINCE its release almost 25 years ago, and it's insane what that says about gaming. But man, it is GOOD to see that it's back.... except not for the newest consoles lol, the fffk 😂

However whats insanely important for this collection is its release PHYSICALLY, The fact that we can own a physical version of all marvel vs capcom games will be great cause now it can never be taken away again. I’m SO HAPPY this is coming back but what REALLY MADE ME “crap a brick” was seeing that the OLD ARCADE “Punisher” game was INCLUDED in this collection. I LITERALLY REMEMBER PLAYING THAT in the arcade back in the 90s, and just like the Konami X-Men beat-em-up, it was always SO DEPRESSING TO ME that there was NEVER a home console port that I’m AWARE OF.

We should only buy this collection if it’s any good. If capcom wants us to see if we are “interested” the game should have proper rollback, ranked and any other feature that street fighter 6 has

Nice! My uncle had a copy of marvel 2 on his xbox 360 and then one day his xbox updated and it took it away. Thats one of the reasons why Im so excited for thsi collection because people get to be able to own this game physically and it can't be taken away because of a license problem

I just really hope if a new mvc gets greenlit, is that Marvel doesn't meddle with the development, put in the additional budget, and allow Capcom to put in whatever characters they want instead of characters being picked to promote the movies. They really screwed with MVCI.

There's actually a few arcades near me that have mvc cabinets, hell there's an arcade place called Round 1 that has a Japanese cabinet of mvc2, thought it was really cool to play the game in it's original language(although it was only the select assist type that was in Japanese but still thought it was cool)

Grab it when its 5 bucks on sale, however theres alot of footage of mvc2 (at tournaments) thats just a camcorder pointed to a crt or really old footage, imagine we had mvc2 if evo 2020 wasnt cancelled possibly this collection might have appeared fasted

Personally, I'm just glad those classic games are getting rereleases. You CAN play them on Fightcade, but Fightcade only allows 3 games to be loaded for queue at a time. If you're feeling up for some Marvel, just pop in this collection and you're set. As far as MVC4, I don't think this release will move the needle. Capcom AFAIK, has stated collection rereleases don't affect the likelihood of a sequel coming out anymore. They stopped the whole "Capcom rerelease sales test" they used to do but if someone has a source that says otherwise, I'd love to see it. I sadly don't have a source for my statement but I remember reading it at SOME point within the past decade. I don't think I'd want MVC4 anyway. Rollback in 3 or an MVC:I overhaul, and I'm happy.

The problem isn't just whether or not they will make a 4th game, the PROBLEM is WHO is going to create it. The team that made MVCI SUCKS. The Artists who made those models SUCK. Whoever the game director was for that shit SUCKS obviously. Products don't just magically get made good by throwing money at the production, they need ACTUAL fans of the series who LOVE the series and who are obsessed with MVC2 basically AND who are skilled enough in all parts of the production to actually make it not just as good as MVC2 but improve it, visually and gameplay wise. That type of competence and interest is going to be rare unfortunately if it even exists. And even if it does exist, then those individuals have to SCRAMBLE to get a job on the production ASAP and if they are global developers they probably need to learn Japanese. So the pool of potential devs to actually MAKE the game good shrinks the more variables you consider 😵‍💫😭 I think it's very unlikely that it will be good unless you have a TRUE fan at the helm of it. Someone who is also part of artistic production and understands design, animation, gameplay AND business to focus on the right aspects of the game taking precedence in funding etc.

The problem with them trying to "gauge" the interest in these IPs is that they aren't even releasing the dang game ON the newest consoles 🤦🏻‍♂ Like.... the ffffk is that 🤦🏻‍♂ that assumes incorrectly that because many still play on older consoles, that this will be a representative gauge. Whereas the audience you actually WANT to pay attention to is the consumers BUYING NEW GAMES AND NEW CONSOLES. Because they obviously are the ones ACTUALLY buying more new stuff!

@@SM1777Y interesting take, like I said in the video the problem with marvel is thst everything is required to tie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which ultimately they did to themselves because Avengers Endgame could have been the proper ending and they could have just made their own stories, hell Marvels, What If is suppose to be about imaginary stories not tied to MCU and they tied it to MCU. However equally the fans hold marvel too accountable to the MCU and if things arent tied to it correctly or break continuity people get mad. Marvel Vs Capcom would be another greap ip however we have other possible things to look forward to like Blade, Wolverine and we had Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy from square that actually wasn’t that bad

@@joxicide8959 Other than Across the spider verse, No Way Home and sorta Guardians Vol 3, I'd like to see anyone name a good release Marvel has had since 2020. Spiderman 2 was mediocre, with the same gameplay loop yet the story was awful, and the only decent game was The Guardians. (repeat patterns) Wolverine Game leaked and people already hate it. Every other release has flopped and was a multi-million dollar failure. Marvel is essentially in the toilet right now and a new MVC game would get some good traction going, as well as this collection reviving the MVC series. People FINALLY don't have to pay hundreds to get a copy. If you don't think Marvel is dead, it's struggling to stay alive and relevant with their new releases.

Haven't seen any of the recent marvel release, but the company is far from dead. "Dead" and "their latest release were not that good" aren't the same thing. It's just that the MCU went from being the biggest thing in the planet, to getting divisives reactions (and the Superhero trend in general is winding down).
