Lessons to learn. Don't put your antinukes too close together. Ideally have them under different shield bubbles. This will protect them from artillery, strategic bombers, or crash damage when it's turned on. Nuke subs end games. But only when you have good Intel. Atlantis are more useful on the surface than you might think. Particularly for denying air power as well as naval domination. If you have a supreme commander built for combat. Use it to gain an advantage, but warn your land buddy he needs to win that naval race by getting something to deal with massed tactical boats, which means either spam land based tactical missiles or ideally get an army of Redirection going. Because Tactical Missile Cruisers are OP. One trick or course is Aeon can stop infinite tactical missiles with intelligent TMD placement So build them to help your ally. Instead of running away. Also. Economy is fine, but remember to challenge Air and spread those T3 anti air to ruin Strategic bombers day. And as always. One antinuke isn't enough. Consider 4. Placed at an arms reach. One easy to snipe on each side with anti air to shred the Strats behind. Two closer in tucked into your economy, to force the strat bomber numbers to get outright rude. Also Aeon have those fun T3 torpedo bombers. Try using those to hunt reinforcements instead of wasting cash on their weaker gunships...

27:40 I feel like the UEF(maybe all factions) should auto-fill the ground between adjacent structures like that. As satisfyingly awesome as that template is, that square of grass in the middle sticks out like a green thumb. Also, is it just me or do non-pros always have the best looking templates? Other than the one pro who has a template for wall hearts.

no, if you want a cast where the caster misses nothing. stop watching casts. casters from starcraft, leeague of legends, Age of empires, DOTA, and counterstrike miss stuff. Why in the world do you expect a dude casting alone to spend time scripting his entire casts? but to give you a direct answer. I won't do that cause it won't be fun for me anymore if I do. And if I stop having fun the FAF community loses another caster.

Not to get political (immediately gets political) but the joke about people from every country agreeing about tax money being spent poorly (at 23:11) is extra funny because that /isn't/ true. People from different countries have very different thoughts and feelings about this based on how well their government actually provides social services - people do not in fact universally live in countries that fail to provide social services/maintain infrastructure and that impacts how they feel about taxes a /lot/.

Dear Willow and Community, Some thoughts on BAR (yeah a bit off topic) BAR is great, the units are diverse, fun and explosion sounds are meaty. However it would appear that some units are fulfilling the same niche, or a very thin slice of combat role, a similar issue was observed in TA. The DMG to HP ratio is also pushed into the High/Low part of the spectrum (example think of how Starcraft is being played compared to warcraft 3), which makes for some explosive and swingy play, but also a very precarious experience. One moment you are on the top, the other, your base is in ruins due to 5 light units run by. Some buildings even when not listed as volatile have the tendency to chain and explode. And it is not even like in original TA, where commander loss=defeat, here, you still play as long there is 1 cmdr on the field for your team - so what is the point of having the explosive plays? Another thing that bugs me is the air game. Who thought that having AA tower with a reach 1/2 map was a good idea? Air play is strongly dissuaded by the high DMG to air by AA units creating a battlefield where the 3rd dimension is often irrelevant. That is on top of the TA design (which I approve of) approach to AA, meaning, anything can shoot up with warrying degrees of accuracy. Supcom is TA, that innovative gem that upended a increasingly stale RTS genre in 97, cut and polished. TL;DR: Supcom is a better viewing experience compared to BAR, due to slower paced game and better balanced units. Bonus history: to put the brilliance of TA into perspective for the younger viewers: this was THE 1st RTS using Polygon models for units and buildings, bitmaps for terrain and jeremy fucking soule made the music (Elder Scrolls, WH40k Dawn of War, Star Wars: KOTOR, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale...) This revolution in RTS came out in the same year that Westwood released its expansion "Aftermath" for Red alert, Red alert itself was released 96, Starcraft still using 2d graphics and sprites came out in 98.
