Bruh. imagine initiating a jump and either hitting the moon or making it partially destroyed, killing all the humans on earth. All of this advanced technology but forgot to give a failsafe by not initiating the jump near the moon. Anyway, amazing cutscenes and exciting gameplay; definitely getting this one. Kudos to Stealth for making me get all the games he played (UAD, TI, Cold Water, and now this); keep up the excellent work!

You might want to listen to the AI's dialogue after the cutscene. I'm almost positive there was some sort of sabotage to the engine, and if not at the very least some severe errors that occurred during the jump that shouldn't have. It wasn't because there wasn't a failsafe.

I always found it interesting that technically the asteroid belt has less space dust than most planetary orbits thanks to the chaotic motion of small mass objects. So you are literally safer travelling there than near earth orbit.

Yes, the main asteroid belt is about two AU thick, and the mean free path based on number of objects above a certain size can be calculated. We have good estimates for objects large enough to seriously damage a ship. The mean free path is millions of AU. You could have centuries of traffic for mining and habitats without a single incident.

It is a colony ship, technically speaking it would classify as a starship and not a station. This design reminds me of the OPAS Behemoth from The Expanse. Having it in a cylindrical shape allows it to be rotated, generating gravity at the outer edges of the ship.

This looks VERY interesting, think I would love to see a playthrough. One minor gripe.... The background NPC speakers doing the intro/objectives/info/etc. was too quiet. I had to turn it up to hear them, BUT then you voice was too loud, and blasted my ear. (Headphones) was constantly lowering/raising the volume to hear them vs hear you. :(

I have a theory how and why the moon blew up: at 41:22 notice how the engine is pointed back towards the moon; then he proceeds to say: "i give you the stars, i give you VHOL engine" maybe this means that the engine has the power of several stars? Maybe dying stars? Because when stars become dying they release a lot of energy. So, like in jet engines, the back blast of the VHOL blews up the moon. But if we watch closely at the activation of the engine, we see something spinning to the side of it and creating energy. Maybe that has something to do with magnetic? Also, right before the engine activates and blows up the moon, we can see a blue glow on it, that kinda maches with the crater hole and debree patter of the exploded moon.

Part way through this video I stopped watching, bought the game (using the link) and played it. It truly is an epic game. I enjoyed completing it without knowing what will happen next, although that would've helped me a lot. As for the Frostpunk comparison, IXION is less intense but is no means easier.

Very Nice Introduction Sequence on your part. I only watched the first few Minutes, maybe 10 or 15 Minutes. I am not actively searching for any Outerspace Science-Fiction Genre Game Systems to play. My Wish List for Outerspace Science-Fiction Genre Game Systems is already full. I miss playing WING COMMANDER: PRIVATEER; but, have played STAR SONATA 1 & 2 and EXORACE; which, I liked; although, EXORACE was Rigged by Powergamer Player Hacks. Looks like the First Administrator Guy is Pro-Military; although, he revealed himself late in his dialogue as being Corporate. Corporate Activities lead to Military Activities. Even the Romans, who could (generously) be claimed to have existed on the political map of the world from the 8th century BC until 1453 (fall of Constantinople) did not do so as one and the same political entity (Roman monarchy -> republic -> empire -> Western and Eastern empire).

Points I picked up - -Docking - nothing in space happens that fast for a number of physcial reasons. -"Wait near the docking bay for assignmnet"? Should be sorted BEFORE lift-off. -Looks like The Company is looking to make its own laws and conditions for space. -Company security has an electronic over-watch of ALL comms. Meant to streamline your workload....or is it Big Brother? -Genetic conatus - "conatus. : a natural tendency, impulse, or striving : conation. used in Spinozism with reference to the inclination of a thing to persist in its own being." - Eugenics? That leaves a minimum genetic similarity of .5^90 after running through every generation. By the end, that is 8.08x10^-28 points of genetic similarity. If we cut the maximum generations in half, the end result is 2.8x10^-14 points of genetic similarity. In a real world, you’re probably right. It’s not easy to guarantee finding a mathematically optimal spouse, but in a theoretical sense, I think it’s fine.

Just a small advice: when a game has a Steam rating ‘mixed’ based on 1500+ reviews and your link in the description is an affiliate you absolutely NEED to address the elephant in the room, otherwise people are gonna look at your video for 5 seconds an move on. BTW: beautiful game intros don’t mean anything. Actually the better they are, the more suspicious I personally get that the game has been made by marketing people and not real gamers. As a general rule, not always. Cheers mate.

Just a small advice: He already addressed that he got the game for free at the beginning of the video. You're making an absolute spectacle for no reason. Furthermore, game intro scenes aren't made by marketing people. They don't even touch that area. They either get a purpose built trailer, or ask for gameplay footage that looks good. So your "real gamers" bullshit can go right out the window. Intro cinematics that actually look decent typically mean that they took the time to make them, and reflects whether the cinematics will be good. That is the beginning and end of it, because EVERYTHING ELSE in a game (unless it's an absurdly small studio) will be made by different people who work on everything separately. Marketing people didn't make the intro cinematic, and they almost never do, 3D Artists are the ones who do that.
