The player builder is nice and the city is cool, everything is overpriced as always. There’s no reason why a basketball game out of everything should encourage me to go outside and learn how to play properly from 2K’s mistakes. And it’s sad with the amount of times I’ve actually gone outside and hooped for a full hour or so to cool off from being mad at 2K.

This game has gone to shit My own teammates are blocking me and when you get screened a mile away you still get hit with the penalty. This game loves to foul you and tell you that your doing bad because of it. Steal attempts are tackles and almost always lead to a "Personal Foul". Flops are legit useless but when an AI does it they instantly get the foul. Shooting is broke as hell because even if you hit an almost perfect shot wide open it can just miss because of who knows what. Defense is actual trash and your character will constantly struggle. The VC gain is absolute garbage. Why am I still getting 750 VC when my upgrades require thousands? Game isn't all bad but hell if I can't even get my own teammates to pass me the ball without being penalized something is definitely wrong.

@@alonedownthere47 yeah I’ve been playing 2K since 2K5 switched to live for 07-09 even had 2K9 all the way up til 2k21 so I know exactly how shitty it is I don’t need a video to tell me anything because I’ve played the game for 10+ years I literally grew up with the game. 2K has always had a large fan base which a lot of people also grew up still playing the game so I know many 20 year olds and 30 year olds who were playing back on 2k14-17 when it held more skill and competition they’ve lost that age group just look at all the top 2K content creators stepping away from the game. There’s no skill gap making the game more childish and arcade like. 2K didn’t use to appeal to just one specific fan base they just made a great competitive game. Now a 10 year old can start this game up for the first time and be a demigod first day with knowledge of basketball badges etc because they’re appealing to weaker players or casual fans not people who are loyal fans. You don’t need a video you’re right just log on and go to the neighborhood or city or whatever and look at how many courts are playing that’ll tell you everything

This is how it works. They make a game engine every 4 years, which lines up with the console releases. The thing they have to do yearly is: - Change animations - Change menu screens - Add music - MyCareer Mode storyline Everything else will remain the same because the engine is the same. 2k used to change it up sooner, but they just dont care anymore. I dont even blame 2k, I blame the community and EA for not providing any competition. As long as people keep buying this shit + myteam + vc they will not change it because it works from a business perspective

Bro so relatable. My player is a 7ft 69 overall coming into the league for the hornets and in my first game against the Lakers i get blocked by a 6ft + danny green. The entire game is rigged, my career, my team all rigged and stupid in terms of physics i bought the game thinking their would be change, but no. All they did was add a new neighborhood, shot meter, somehow downgraded the graphics and made it incredibly hard to make a single shot, like im so done with 2k..

@@DarkCounterLP 1. today, i was at the park and missed a 3% coverage layup with an max 85 driving layup and 90 dunk rating instead of even dunking, i missed a 3% layup just sad to be honest and when i was WIDE OPEN i would take a LAYUP instead.. with the best dunk rating/ANIMATOINS and half of the times get blocked (6"4 Btw) 2 .AND i have HOF HANDLES FOR DAYS and lost a lot of stamina with only some dribbles (86 BALL HANDLE) Plus im a playshot . 90 OVR 3. my build got deleted 95 OVR for no reason PC and PS4 same builds and accounts. 4.dont play any 2k.... INLESS 2k23 is good BUT i doubt it.

I didn't pay $60, I waiting until the Thanksgiving day sale and paid $30. The same with 2k20. Went back to 2k20 and will never buy another 2k basketball. Finally! Someone speaks up that isn’t giving us bullshit quotas like most famous 2K KZbinrs! This video was thorough, clear and pretty well formatted. Honestly, I know that the PS5 might bypass some of this but when has trailers from nba2k ever held its own?! People like to forget that nba2k18 had moves & animations that were in the trailer but never existed once you got the game. The trailers WISH their game was like it. Will people ever learn? But this game might actually be up there with 2K18 as one of second worst games of 2Ks entire library. Me and my friends only thoroughly enjoyed 2K14, 15, 16, 17 & 20 (to an extent) and even tho majority of people didn’t like 17, it was pretty much the beginning of the end and we should’ve known better. That game is literally God compared to the ones that came after it. But yea we knew that 2K only cares about money and since nobody wants to talk about how clear it is really upsets me.. it truly does. I can’t believe that I have to not play any newer NBA2Ks because it no longer is rewarding nor is it newbie game friendly. Just like you said any kid who comes across this game will think to have to buy VC and use their moms credit cards to be able to have some sort of fun. 2K15 and 16 even tho you were a 65 overall or 67 I still had chances to win games and it was actually fun to play because your player wasn’t total garbage. I never needed VC for those games because it was fair and you felt like you were effective, even if you lost! But I’m glad in a way that I enjoyed the peak of NBA2K so it’s sad seeing it fall to corruption THIS EASILY. RIP but I appreciate you talking about most of our concerns when it comes to the game. You're right pointing out that 2K has pulled the ole bait and switch in the past by showing content in the trailers that isn't actually in the game at release. That's why I'm so skeptical seeing the next-gen trailer that came out yesterday. Also, you're spot on about 2K15 & 16, the progression was much better to the point where you didn't need copious amounts of VC in order to develop your player into a superstar. I remember that in only about 40 games without having to spend actual money, I was playing like an all-star shooting guard and leading the Pels to the number one seed in the West. And it wasn't nearly as boring having to play those games either because they kept giving meaningful incentives during the season. Here, playing 40 games feels like playing 400 games because there's nothing new. Thanks again for the watch and comment.

They even took away animations like interviews where you could build/lose team chemistry or fans, meetings with sponsors in favor of text communication, and sponsor event animations for the heavier MyCareer players that don't really mess with online because the servers are the worst anyone has ever seen. To say this game is a copy and paste of '20 is being too generous. Oh and the draft, just make me go to some random team that actually has a pick around wherever my draft stock ends up. No way the Celtics are taking Cobb and I as the top 2 selected...they don't even have a pick until late in the round, yet they got the #1 & #2 picks without having to trade Tatum, Brown or anyone else at all from the team??? I fell victim to the my team scheme in 2k20 i stayed up for 2 days straight spent 240 dollars trying to get the glitches 97 ginnias that plays pg/pf (cause i already had the glitched lebron and this was when mike and vince were the only buyable opals) i never got him but shortly after i lost the will to play i looked up how much my account was worth and it was only worth 700 despite having a team overall of 98 on offense defence and overall... after that i quit cause i had easily spent over 3k on game add odds and got mad at my self. Id rather lose that money on the tables of the casino then give it to 2k

The “archie vs harper” melodrama was awful. Archie literally just came up to you, said he knew your dad, and tried to leech off of you, and then you’re told several times thereafter that “he’s been with you from the beginning, he’s gotten you to where you are”, as if he got me 30 points a game in college or got me those scholarship offers? And then Harper offers you literally everything, with the one very reasonable request being that you just…don’t hire Archie instead. What did Archie offer? “You can be ya own man, say whatchu think”, even though you heard literally nothing that your myplayer thought, at all. I fucking hate this game. I do.
