@LM111164 жыл бұрын
@@kyoxtohru112 well she doesn't know what the polygraph said until she's onstage. my point is that maybe when she took the test she said she was a good person and hadn't been asked those questions yet so when she was onstage she thought that maybe the test had called that true. when things like cheating and stealing aren't at the front of your brain, a question like that will lead you to a lot of uncertainty and unsureness, which the test will often read as lying. basically, she responded yes during the test, the test said she was lying for whatever reason, but onstage she thought it would say she was telling the truth.
@KaliTakumi4 жыл бұрын
@@LM11116 Don't worry bruv I got what you were saying the first time
@kyoxtohru1124 жыл бұрын
@@LM11116 Okay reading it over again and then reading the rules I see where you are coming from. How if it was at the beginning she might not think too hard about it and most people are nervous with that type of question. My first statement was said without looking at the rules so I will say my bad on that, but having read the rules any answer she said, Yes or No, would have painted her in an even worse light at least Yes and False makes her at least look like she has some consciences as her heart agrees with her on that. Hopefully, it wasn't initially a No. Now how I was trying to agree with the OP was the fact that knowing they would ask very personal questions the cheating portion of her life would at least be in the back of her mind coming in to take the test anyway. It would be like going to take a test that you can't practice for and all you know is the subject and that being her life. Though I think she knew it would come up false after hearing all that. I want to make that clear. Edit: having reread my comment I still see it's not clear. First: I agree with OP in that she is knowing that all this past stuff could be dragged up as they want to make hard questions. Second: is that at the time of questioning she could have thought "well I'm not a killer" and said yes Third: I guess my true argument is that if someone is taking a test on telling the truth they tend to try and think about what question might be asked, ex: cheating. Forth: only time she wouldn't look like a bad person is in one scenario: Stage Answer[SA]: NO, Poly Answer[PA]: NO and Polygraph[P]: true. The worst one is SA: NO, PA: Yes, P: false

So I thought of your video about "Moment of Truth" after Cody and Kelsey just reacted to the same episode. And when I posted this in the comments I was surprised at how many people didn't know: Like other reality shows, there are several foreign versions of this game show And in 2012 a Peruvian woman appeared on the show "The Value of Truth" and admitted accepting money for sex. She was later murdered by her boyfriend who was on the show with her as part of her friends/family. Before that in 2007 on the Columbian game show "Nothing But the Truth" was canceled after a contestant won $25,000 for admitting she hired someone to kill her husband. So ruining a marriage and crushing a man's spirit in front of a live studio audience was one of their lesser crimes.

Given that polygraphs are basically just a step above psychics I'd be so pissed if I got a question like "have you ever cheated on your wife?", answered no and got told I was lying. Not only did I lose a bunch of money but now my marriage is fucked up and millions of people think I'm a scumbag and I have basically nothing I can do to prove that I didn't cheat

The dad?
@waffleauflauf42132 жыл бұрын
I was looking for this comment. The way the dad was clearly there for Frank was wholesome. It's sad bc they clearly all were blindsided and saw Frank as part of the family more than his own wife did.

"Chapstick is just a placebo" may be one of my favorite conspiracy theories ever.
@Tonyhouse1168 Жыл бұрын
It’s the opposite of a placebo. It’s been found that after using chapstick and getting used to the feeling of having extra moisture on your lips, going without absolutely feels wrong so we continue to use it. And you can trust me, I got big ass lips and can’t leave home without a tube in my pocket

Not to over-analize it, but people are missing the point of the last answer: the polygraph doesn't have the absolute true objective answer and tells you it, like some kind of god. The polygraph just tells if you're lying or not. So the point is that she actually thinks she's a bad person (because well, she is) but she SAYS she thinks she's good, and the polygraph is calling her out on it. It's not that she thinks she's a good person and the polygraph is saying "no, you're not".
