I loved this. First time hearing this band and will check out more. I am having that annoying "who does this remind me of?" feeling about the intro. I'd considered Pink Floyd and Miles Davis and decided it was neither - then you went and mentioned both of them and now I'm doubting myself. Some of the later parts made me think of Mike Oldfield. And then at 13:25 I was thinking "yeah, this is the opposite of Band-Maid", and then you made that exact point, lol!

Hello! I'm so happy you enjoy Los Jaivas. As a chilean who grow up listening Los Jaivas, is so great to see somebody else discorver them and be amazed by what they do. I'm kinda jealeous even haha. Please keep doing this. I promise every song is a whole world. This song is about the forest of the south. They use chilean instruments like trutruka to convey the sensation of something spiritual and sacred. A lot of song of Los Jaivas play with the concept of nature being magical or about moments of life (like death, lost or growing up) being immesurable. If you can, please react to Tarka y Ocarina. It's about the fight between good and evil. Keep the good work!

I liked it and you enjoyed it and that makes me happy. Greetings and a hug from Chile PS: my next recommendation is the song Tarka and Ocarina, it is a song that represents the battle between good and evil. At the same time, the rhythm is a diablada, a typical dance from areas of South America, I recommend you listen to the studio version and then the en alive

If you want to know more about the band, I could help you. I tell you that they recently celebrated their 60th anniversary and they are still playing. Of course, the band has mutated in some of its members, but the quality is the same. In my opinion, the only irreplaceable one is Gato Alquinta, vocalist. and main guitarist but the drummer who is one of the founders of the band died many years ago unfortunately but his place was taken by his daughter Juanita Parra who is a Goddess on the drums and lost all the talent of her father who was a beast considered by those years one of the best in the world.
