Midfield/Wingers: Antony, Kulusevski, Olise, Kubo, Bernardo Silva" I mean you kinda have to take some things with a pinch of salt when a player is playing in multiple positions. You'll get the ball in better areas as a winger which will skew your midfielder data, and you'll have to be more combative in midfield which will skew your winger data. BUT the fact he can do both means he really should be high up our list... if only we didn't need to spend loads of money on our defence and midfield. Although if he's who replaces Sancho... I can live with that.

He's in France, which means that PSG will likely have looked at him already. And they have an M'bappe-sized gap to fill. Dortmund might also be interested and a few other top, forward-thinking clubs. Barca, possibly. Either way, he probably will want to play elite lvl European football which we probably won't be able to offer him next season.

This summer needs to be good. Frimpong is bargain but you sell AWB. For every CB that goes you need 1 to replace. Todibo for Maguire. ??? for Linda. ??? for Varane (looks like hes going). I believe should you get a good offer for rashy then take it. It means you can use the money to buy this kid and a quality left back. You need 2 midfielders. One to replace Case and hopefully one to replace McT. Then you need to replace Martial with an older experienced Loan striker. This would be optimal for this transfer window IMO.

I'd love more of these type of signing. If we don't have the money for a proven striker I'd love to see us pick up someone like Welbeck or Jovic on a free and then spend 10 or 15 million on George Ilenikhena from Antwerp. Very high ceiling and a great investment that would save us prolonging the problem if we spend that money on someone like guirrasey etc.

This is exactly the type of signings we need to start making again. No more paying 70+ for finished products that end up playing worse under the burden of their transfer fee. But we do need to be careful we don't buy too many inexperienced players, else we risk having an unstable squad for another 3/4 years.

He looks comfortable when there’s a lot of space he can run into like on a counter. But how is his performance and decision making when the opposition is parking the bus and looking to counter instead? Some of the highlights don’t show him unlock defences with a low block, and he stops and looks to beat or out-trick defenders like Rashford does instead of passing to a better option when his flank of responsibility is saturated. He’s better than Rashford for sure, but if United really want to go forward with the fast passing and mini-transitions style (like citeh or old Barca), I don’t think he’ll fit. This squad needs more brains and ball retention capabilities (such as Mainoo) than just pace and flair.

It's much harder to dribble on the wing when you only have one side you can go. this is a known fact. that is why wingers who initiate, have lower dribble rates than midfielders. but even than Doue has more dribbles under a higher rate than Mainoo. When he's in midfield, it's not even a comparison. just watch him against ac milan. Mainoo can not display a midfield dribbling performance like that in his wildest dreams. Mainoo isn't even better than Zaire Emery

He might be everything you say he is but do we really need another left sided multi-functional player who can "play anywhere"? We've seen that with Depay, Martial, Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho.
