I agree, the cohesion mechanic is a nice idea, but not really working right now. Pathing sends units into enemy territory and they attack whether you want it or not

Last weekend i did a little Germany run: -took Netherlands so i had the Indies for rubber and plane production from early on -pumped out cav units fast so i could transform them in the 7/2 template for infantry and just train+supply them later --> superfast anschluss sudetenland and memel. -built the ordered ships at the start, then 1 dock into convoys and rest in subs -the usual civs and occasional refinery so i could train my ships and planes. then mass military factories -put 24 divisions on the imaginot line, rest on poland when danzig or war was done -poland was over superfast, then belgium and france, invaded UK and the war was over in 1941 with no involvement of the USA. this is the point where the game crashed for some obscure reason, so i left it at that. USSR looks mighty juicy from that position and with still 2m manpower and the bulk of europa and africa under axis controll, left side of mobile warfare still open to pick too!

The AI deciding to attack the frontline for absolutely no reason is so annoying. I sometimes just use fallback lines instead of frontlines instead of this when I don't need troops to move and need a static defense line.

front line orders were completely messed up in bba and the cohesion system is very bad too, sometimes when balenced cohesion is on the divisions wont move onto the front line because theres 'nothing' to reinforce

I have a screenshot of Germany losing literally 90% of its divisions in the Soviet union to an encirclement because the unit cohesion thing decided to move all but 20 German divisions into 9 tiles and not move them. I was playing as the Italians without Ironman on and even with me occasionally switching their cohesion to flexible they couldn’t unencircle them without me turning off my countries AI and tag switching to Germany for a bit because the bug.

Build some thick 40 width infantry divisions with artillery to push with and build a lot of good tac bombers. Also invest in your spy network and do 1-2 collab governments before going into china.
