Today I attempt to save this disaster Germany Hearts of Iron 4 game where they are on the 'edge of the abyss'. Can I turn the tables and save what looks like the end of the road for Germany on HOI4?

This was like a whole movie. The hope of Rommel's offensive and taking out France, followed by the stagnating attack in the Benelux and the betrayal of the USSR. This single video should be nominated for an Emmy.

Maybe diverting all factories from motorized and bombers to fighters and AA will help at least one air zone go green sooner. Also, you somehow had 110 ship in wilhelmshaven, might as well send them to Atlantic and cut down some American troops while you waiting for the fighters. Save Rommel and take back Denmark and Kiel first to relieve garrisons in North-East coast. Abandoning France is OK, just hold the Alsace, put some of these divisions along the river in Poland against Soviet. If you have nothing to build, then build forts along the river fallback line in Poland. Reorg the fallback line infantry in Poland to 20w with Eng, AT and AA, man the line with these as many as you can. Reorg the tank to 40w with AA or SPAA, use them to push the Allies out. After that the game should be saved if Soviet did declare on Allies like this one.

Pro-tip that may or may not work: When asking for lend-lease, give yourself a huge deficit in the items you want temporarily. Fill in a bunch of air wings with max amount of fighters that you can’t fill so logistics thinks you’re like 4000 in the hole, and then ai will usually give you more of that item.
