I once had a game in Ironman, not historical, i was doing SO WELL against the soviets as poland that i managed to push all the way to Mińsk and kiev, then America joined the commintern, and then the rest was history. I refuse to save it, since its most likely unsavable.

I once did a Germany game against an OP Soviet Union, I couldn’t push and lost western Poland, but after a year of brutal micro, I had managed to encircle 100+ soviet divisions, it took years of in game time and it was 1946 by the time I had beaten them

Poland is my favourite country in HOI4, you can go against the Soviets early and you can do it without changing ideology. Polish Revanschism allows you to justify at 10% tension which allows you to focus your PP on industry and the 2 top industry focuses allow you to rush LVL 3 construction and production if you time it, 3 full army groups of 10/0 Infantry with Engineer's, Maintenance, AA & Artillery to hold the line until you have enough equipment to put out 14/4 with the same supports to make pushes.
