I used to load up on Spanish and Blues using 3" piece of McDonald's drink straws with water bubble. I sure miss the coasts. I build rods, for long long casts, inevitably when I'd start hauling them in people on the shore or pier would get as close to me as possible. They still didn't catch much if any, using heavy line no casting distance. They even got mad because I'd catch almost every cast, them 0. Same kind of folks that get right in the middle.

Agree... don't be that guy. Never understood why folks do stuff like that. And it could be an accident, right... just didn't realize what he was doing... but once you do realize, then man up and move outside the circle. Sadly, word gets out a lot faster these days when the fish show up, so everybody shows up at the same time. I'm glad you and some of the other folks are doing your channels and the social media reports, and I really do enjoy them... but man, it has made it harder to get in on early action, especially in well-known places.
@ericwilliamsfishing2 жыл бұрын
I’d say it was an accident if he wasn’t taking the boat in and out of gear to stay in the circle. I let it go for a few minutes before it got too frustrating for me. The fish are here and constantly moving so it’s not as simple as go catch. I got skunked on Bonito today with no boat pressure. Thanks for watching man. It means a lot.

Nice work! The last couple times I’ve been out there, it’s been a complete madhouse and almost had people run right into my boat a few times.. i need to try the jigging action, looks pretty fun. Since I don’t have a trolling motor, is it easy enough to anchor there if I beat the crowd? Just don’t want to mess anyone else up if there’s an anchor line in the mix of that parking lot
@ericwilliamsfishing2 жыл бұрын
You can anchor but expect to lose a few with the amount of stuff on the bottom. I don't think your anchor line with mess anyone else up and I wouldn't be concerned with that aspect. Yeah, it is and the window is really short on when you can catch fish before there is too much pressure.

It can get crazy here sometimes , it's only annoying because we have so much water to fish for 12 months a year and people still manage to cast over your head... Endless coastline, jetties, inshore flats , neverending mangroves, we basically live IN water....you can forget fishing from land in a tourist area, set rigs as far as the eye can see just soaking in the best spots for hours trying to catch Spanish mack...
