I brought some spanish back to TN with me last year. My buddies have pretty much caught and eaten every fish in the state. They all said the spanish was the best fish they had ever eaten. That included saltwater varieties from restaurants. Love em. Cant wait to hit them again this spring!

I’m sure it’s a habit for captain Hollywood as a charter guide to not let his angler’s handle landing the fish and stuff like that, but let us not forget Luke is an accomplished, tournament angler. I cringed when he was like ah ah ah ah admonishing Luke.

How do I try this at home when ur at the ocean the oceans not meh home
@trevinpendry1363 жыл бұрын
The Easy way: buy a boat, buy chum, have a bottom reader, read the tide and wind, drive around in circles, fish for them, attempt to pull them in the boat. 😂 The easier way: throw a gotcha lure into a bait ball and reel like crazy! 😂

What’s funny is Spanish Mackerel don’t put up much of a fight, u can reel two or 3 in at a time without pausing lol these guys reeling them in like they are hard fighting fish
@Saltstrong4 жыл бұрын
What size spanish mackerel are you referring to when reeling in 3 at a time? These 24+ inch ones have a surprising amount of power (fight similar to kingfish on a pound for pound basis).
@jricherts994 жыл бұрын
I've caught some big ones that fight like hell on light tackle

Dunno if you're from Australia, but what they call spanish mackerel over there are not the same thing that we call spanish mackerel in the States. The spotted mackerel looks similar to the spanish mackerel in this video, but doesn't live in this part of the world.

its a doa shad, dont see the difference, those damn fish cant tell the difference when theyre hungry
