lol I know I'm late af but that's exactly what I was thinking. I think there's a **chance** this dude has what I have, (or at least characteristics of it) which is a disorder called ARFID. (I'm not 100% sure if it can be considered an ED in cases like mine, it's more neurological than psychological. I'm autistic and that can cause sensory issues, even with taste and smell.) For pretty much my whole life, my diet has been restricted enough to cause malnourishment because I can't tolerate most foods. It's not just that I'm picky, it's that I literally get nauseous if I'm even in the same room as a lot of foods and the majority of food repulses me. It's genuinely a really awful thing to live with but I understand how it looks from an outside perspective so I try not to be obnoxious about it and I sure as hell wouldn't let someone make a KZbin video out of my condition. It'd be too embarrassing considering I've already been made fun of for it for years. I can't imagine talking about my diet where thousands of strangers can see my face as I do so. This dude's almost, like, proud of it. It makes me think he might just be a picky asshole, but he also keeps referring to how textures freak him out and stuff, which aligns with my own experiences, so I don't know.

Nope. There are seriously people like this. I know, it's fucked up. My little brother used to be like this. Not nearly this bad though obviously, jesus christ. Also I feel obligated to say that my brother was a very normal and very agreeable dude otherwise, unlike this fuckin guy! But yeah anyway there is still hope for this guy since thankfully my brother turned a new leaf after years of extensive public shaming by his friends and family. When I was a kid I had what I think were green beans or snap peas (?) and they had a tiny bit of spice to them. At the time, I was super young and hadn’t eaten much spice. Now, I probably wouldn’t taste any spice, lol. I have a friend who is white, his dad is from Africa, and he is unable to tolerate ANY spice. Like, stuff I didn’t know has pepper in it, he tastes it. I probably should've commented this when it first came out, but if I just comment now it will be drowned so I'm hijacking this top comment. Sorry. I've never eaten vegetables either, maybe when I was a baby. I eat a few fruits. The outrage from this video is very disappointing, I'm really angry with buzzfeed for making this and showing this subject for people to ridicule. I fucking understand how stupid it is, but it's an eating disorder called Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), or sometimes called SED (Selective Eating Disorder). That's right, it's an eating disorder. Our brains are messed up, and this dude is going through distress to try it. Though, honestly he doesn't look too distressed, so maybe it is fake because they didn't even mention ARFID. I went to an inpatient eating disorder hospital in the middle of eighth grade to try to fix me. The main reason they sent me was to get my weight to healthy levels so I don't die of malnutrition. I did okay there, i found out that cheese is the worst thing ever, and i tried grilled chicken, as I'm only used to chicken tenders. I hate my diet. I hate it. I came out of the hospital not because I was cured, but because it was nearing Christmas and id been there for almost four months and I jut wanted to go home. A year or so ago I was sent again to an eating specialist which pretty much said I couldn't be helped. She's had people like me but I'm so much of a coward that I was afraid to try anything. I might want to try again, because all I really want is to be able to eat salad. That's a universal food and it's healthy. How I've survived is by eating pretty much nothing other than Boost nutritional supplements. Yesterday I ate a chocolate chip muffin and three Boosts. I know how terrible my diet is so I try to eat little to balance it out. I don't really feel hunger much, it only gets bad when I feel like I'm going to pass out. The whole point of this was that this isn't a joke. This is the main problem in my life, and I want to get better but I'm afraid of change. My shitty diet has been working for me, and it's hard to give up what's safe. I'm gonna copy and paste this on other top comments so people can see what they're doing. Edit: it's most often caused by trauma related to eating, almost choking to death, etc.
