Well, you're still welcome here. But just a tip, before you go here, PLEASE LEARN to speak the language. Filipinos are usually annoyed at Fil-Ams who claim they're Filipinos but don't speak the language or those who speak the language but with a heavy American accent. Try to make the effort on blending in, understand the culture before you go, and make your Filipino-ness stand out, don't be your usual American self because you'll just end up annoying everyone, especially if you claim that you're Filipino but knows nothing about the country or its culture. Switch your Filipino side on once you arrived at the airport basically hahaha to make the most out of your trip.

Dude!!! You need to go and spend some time with your homeland! I was in the same position as you. Felt more french growing up than Filipino until my first visit 15 years ago. I've fallen in love not just with my culture but also with my history and who I am. It really showed me how beautiful our country and people are and also why I am the way I am. I've been going back regularly since and I can't wait for my next visit 😊

If he had more time, I'd definitely recommend staying on the 2 largest islands, Luzon and Mindanao, both have amazing beaches, waterfalls, mountain climbs, and it would've been easier to travel. Luzon alone has the only desert (Tarlac/Pampanga) in the country while also having the coldest places like (Baguio City and Sagada)

I've visited the Philippines 3 times, it's a memorable thing for my experience personally. Whether it's food, drink, nature and communication in the Philippines is great fun. Not only that, I also learned what is in the Philippines is about simplicity, kindness and a smile that's what I got while in the Philippines. For me personally, if I'm honest, the Philippines is not bad overall, but people don't know the beauty of the Philippines. Especially for Filipinos, thank you for giving me a pleasant impression and experience while I was in the Philippines. Oh yeah and also I don't forget the "BALUT" food which I don't like, I can't eat it, because I'm not used to it and just from the shape of it my appetite is gone. hehehehe... 😆 I like Philippines, hopefully tourists in the philippines increase and make the economy in the philippines develop. Always have a local to accompany you. When I say a local, when you go to Cebu, you ask for a cebuano or cebuana to accompany you around the city. Different islands and regions have different dialects. If you have someone who lives and speaks the city, you will have no problem with law and crime, some filipinos can be abusive and opportunist, we are kind but we ask for so much generosity from someone...someone well off. But we are kind and hospitable.
