@MrFarre906 жыл бұрын
Yes audiophile headphones will allways be better but when comparing gaming headsets they compare to other gaming headsets. And some people just want a gaming headset for the simplicity, 1 cable, 1 program where you have control over all your gear (mouse, keyboard, headset) and just because they think they look good for some people. How fun would reviews be if they were 10 sec long and all the video was "hello this is the (insert headset name) and you should buy a hd58x instead" *end of review*. Gaming headsets are good in their own way and that's that not everything is about sound.

I get that the USP of the Razer Nari Ultimate is the haptic feedback system but no reviewer has talked about the THX Spatial Audio. Spatial audio is NOT like the true/virtual surround sound found in other gaming headsets; it uses ambisonics to reproduce directional properties of sound such that the soundscape is a true (3D) sphere.

ok, here is my opinion for those who are thinking about buying one, i bought it about 3 months ago and the experience in the first days was fantastic, after a week or two the application razer (synapse) started not letting me configure the headphones, if you happen to drop the headphones on the floor, it is better to buy new ones because when you turn on the haptic hypersense function it will not be the same again, I just dropped it once and I am already hearing noise inside the headphones whenever it is playing a song or movie etc ... so here you go (don't spend money on this crap, it's not worth it, there are much better headphones out there believe me) If you buy don't forget what you just read, then come back here to complain so I can tell you (I warned you)

Huge note for console gamers, any adjustments to the EQ or Chroma in Synapse do Not transfer when connected to a console such as Xbox One or PS4. What this means is that the default settings are the only settings you can use on anything outside your PC with Synapse. This does not make any sense to me as they are advertised as multi platform. It's probably $200 because it's Razer's first time incorporating the real time haptic technology. They also understand that other company's may have tried using this technology but not a lot of people know about it, so they use that advantage to "wow" consumers and buy this product. I currently have the Kraken V2 and the mic difference is minimal compared to it. I'll trust that the sound quality is better with the addition of the haptic technology. I have an exterior Razer RGB setup, so being that this is the first wireless headset with chroma, breathability, and an interesting haptic feedback and NOT A PLASTIC HEADBAND THAT BREAKS WITHIN WEEKS, I might consider this product in the future when it goes on a sale. The only withdrawal is the bulkiness and it's battery life, where a wired headset will last a lot longer than a wireless headset where we all know will decrease in lifespan over time, to the point where it'll have to stay wired.

I feel like 200$ is a lot to ask for any headset that you cannot give an immediate yes to the question: Does it have great sound quality? Both for the sound coming in and the mic. I feel like that is the point of all headsets. As for the haptic feedback, is it a gimmick? Yes. I can see it providing a real advantage in terms of battlefield awareness in competitive games though. When you can feel the direction that shots are coming from that is an interesting idea. I would not be surprised to see some pro gamers giving this a try.

Now I have a logitech g933 and I do like them, but of course, no rumbling. As you said $200 is a lot of money, so I would like to know two things. Not considering the vibration, is the sound better or worse than the g933, and how good does the rumbling adapt to movies. I am a big action movie watcher, and it did feel pretty cool. I asume the technology of the Nari Ultimate is way more advanced thatn the p531, but the p531 was $50 only. Please let me know what you think about these two issues. I am a big fan of being more inmersed in movies, and games too. Thank you very much, and great review btw.

Damn. The mic is shit for 200 and wireless. He actually said the microphone quality is good. WHAT?!?! It’s so tinny. And no not tiny. Tinny as in metal tin. It probably is a really cool headset but the dealbreaker is the mic for me
@Niko-ku2cr6 жыл бұрын
i respect that the mic is a deal breaker but evryone uses stand mics cuz there way better than any head set mic
@0xEden.6 жыл бұрын
then why buy a headset in the first place?
@Niko-ku2cr5 жыл бұрын
@@0xEden. I dunno I'm just headset person. Are you a speaker head? If so why buy more speakers?
@xelio90505 жыл бұрын
Caleb Schwartz Yea the mic is kind of disappointing I wish it was never there it just adds to the price, but you should get USB mic its much better than any headset mic.
@lordvader36665 жыл бұрын
Caleb Schwartz Why would the mic be a dealbreaker? Basically every mic on every gaming headset, sucks ass. If you want a good sounding mic, buy one.

Rdwini unfortunately no, I switched to the Steelseries Arctis Pro. The clamp force went away quite quickly and they became really heavy on my head, almost like they were hanging from the top of my head

Tried a prototype of this a year or so ago. The haptic feedback is really nice. Too bad they partnered up with Razer, letting them put it into a shitty product. Will give it a bad rep and may be the last headset with Lofelt haptic feedback for a while.

The last Razer Headset I bought back in 2009 was the Megalodon, and gave up on it within a few months due to quality issues. Switched to Audio-Technicas and Sennheisers since then.

Redragon has used this vibrating technology BEFORE 2 YEARS in the Siren 2 headset,but afcourse Razer has to put a even higher price tag on a ok quality headphones with something that has been adopted by other small companies.

Gaming headsets are pretty terrible. Never buy them. The only good one I've seen are sennheiser's ones. If you're willing to make a $200 commitment into a headset like this, instead consider getting decent headphones and a separate mic. For the same price as razer headset you can get Audiotechnica ath m50x (or a $150 sennheiser equivalent) which are amazing sounding headphones along with a blue snowball mic. This combo will have amazing sound/mic quality and be excellent for all tasks, not just gaming, like media consumption or audio monitoring. And the mic doesn't sound like hot garbage and your friends will actually enjoy listening to you speak because you have a good mic. And it doesn't have vibration gimmick. Also, you can spend 50 more on a blue yeti which is an even better mic. $200 headphones with bad audio/mic quality and a vibration gimmick vs $200 headphone/mic combo which will sound better and be a better experience? I'll stick to the latter. EDIT: If you insist on having your mic and headphones in one (less versatile but okay) go for the Sennheiser Game One or Game Zero.

Agreed I have sennheiser and they are super well made
@DZAG_OFFICIAL5 жыл бұрын
But I have to agree you can also Get a Razer Seiren X. It’s better than A Blue snowball, and honestly It sounds really good and it has an inbuilt shockmount. If you are looking for a good mic, get that.

Logitech ones are good. Forgot which are mine but I know it was 30 dollars on black friday 1 year ago and still happy with it. Good mic and sound is perfect.

You know what also vibrates? Literally every other kind of headphone, earbud, speaker or sound making thing in existence...
@Pringa6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, too bad so many people still use their smartphones and on board dac, basically no way to push those drivers, and for some reason, rarely any1 uses eq. It's sad
@Pringa6 жыл бұрын
@Master Drakthorian well, i dont like direct sound from source, i always use eq (boost freqs below 100hz by +12db (more or less)), that way headphones produce sound just like im on a concert. when theres a band performing live, you can feel the bass vibrations through your whole body, headphones cant do that, but they can make you feel the vibrations around your ears, i find that satisfying. if tube amps and eqs are bad, the amps would even get sold nowadays, and there wouldnt be any eqs. you may like the flat sound, but i find that dull and boring, like im listening to music over an 30 year old am radio lol
@ronsingh10906 жыл бұрын
I have used this type of headsets before it was from a local company but ,they were very good this thing adds bass , with razer I hope durability would be high as the local one last for few months

@Wampum I watched the video and don’t think having haptic buzzing on my head in sync with a video game is worth the extra coin for these headphones. Especially not when there are as good and better sound quality headphones out there for less money.

The mic is okay. This is a headphone and not a microphone. It's intended to make you hear stuff and not to speak.
