Thank you for this! I searched all over for some decent guide for this install. Mine didn’t have old seals so I couldn’t be sure.

I’m so glad you added this video. I’m installing this same piece of rad seal on my 1975 tomorrow. On a ‘75 i don’t have the snorkel so the seal goes the entire width of the radiator support. But the end section is the same Very timely. Thanks

Thank you for making this video, with will come a long way in my installation on my 78’ I think I’ll just use double sided 3M tape instead of the glue spray, I’ll let you know how it goes after I’m done Aziz

Hello. I think double-sided tape will do the job just as well as spray adhesive. Glad to hear the video was helpful. 😊👍🏻

Were you having heating issues before you added the seals? I have a 79 and there were no seals between the radiator and the support. I think this could have been my major issue. Not sure how they install and like you said not much info out there.

I think there were some, but old and not sealing very well. As a matter of fact, I added extra seals to direct as much ram air through the radiator. As you know, the engine bay gets very hot, hence the need for fender heat extractors which really serve a purpose. The factory assembly manual should give you a good idea as to where they go. 😊👍🏻

I never heard of fender heat extractors, is this something different than the vents on the outside of the fenders? what temp does your car run at?
@76vette8 ай бұрын
@@mikekurtz627 No, they’re the same thing. My car runs at around 195° and sometimes it may get to 210° in traffic with the ac on.

Very informative, do you find that zip has better quality corvette products than the other guys or did you just randomly choose them? I’m about to replace the stock radiator with an aluminum one on my 69 L71 and just want to purchase the factory correct parts (even though I’m going with a 3 row aluminum radiator). But that’s beside the point.

Thank you. My wallet guides my purchases, so I buy whenever I find the best price if possible. I do favor ACDelco components when I find them, but most parts are made overseas anyway, so… I installed an aluminum 3-row as well, and love it, so I think you’re making a good choice with the swap.😊👍🏻

Hey there I just installed my new radiator support on my 76 and I noticed they didn’t have screws to receive the snorkel? Did you have the same issue?
@76vette2 жыл бұрын
My radiator core support had all the attachment points necessary to install OEM parts. I guess you could drill a couple of holes so you can install yours.
