Thanks, Mark. Glad to hear my videos are of help, and best of luck. Replacing the radiator is challenging, but worth the effort! 😊👍🏻

Ah thats right you have a 4 speed haha no cooler. I must agree with the below comments. My radiator came mis alligned ( Champion. ) Bracket missed passenger side by half inch. Have no clue what they were measuring to make the 3 core vette rad. Fabricated some HD bumpers from heater hose over the brackets as I didnt want the lips of the brackets to cut into the aluminum. Also didn't want to return it after all that work installing. Radiator is going on 8 years without a hiccup though. Anyone with an auto trans, use braided steel hoses connecting to the transmission lines unless you have steel lines all the way to the rad. Lost most my fluid from something jumping up and cutting the line. My TH350 did survive that debacle. Another tip, ground your radiator to the block or chassis. If not, the water/coolant is grounding the radiator and slowly eating the metal via electrolysis. I ground all my vehicle radiators.

Yep, 4-speed manual. It sounds like Champion must have corrected some flaws since mine fit like a glove. Interesting idea about grounding the rad itself. I never thought of it. I can probably use one of the auto trans bungs as a grounding point. Hmm...

@@76vette Auto trans plug sounds like a perfect spot as there aren't many places to ground the rad. My transmission mech told me about this, due to many vehicles destroying their auto transmissions; antifreeze getting into the transmission due to aluminum thinning and bleeding over into coolant lines. Makes alot of sense as the radiator is isolated from any metal to chassis contact with rubber bumpers. Only contact with the block is through the water/antifreeze as it conducts electricity. You wouldn't have this issue as you have a stick shift. But radiator will certainly last longer and less likely to spring a leak.

Hopefully yours works. I got two defective radiators from Champion. The second one they sent was way more embarrassing than the first and how it made it through quality control was absolutely beyond me. After that, I had zero faith in them finally sending a correct one.

Wow! I am surprised to hear that. Mine was perfect out of the box and (since I did the swap a couple of months ago), it's been working perfectly. Hope they took care of you.

@@76vette They did take both radiators back but I had to hound them for the refund. Didn't have the best experience but it sounds like yours has been good so far.

@@zachreese6540 So far so good. Fingers crossed.

I'm curious how that paint will stand up over multiple heating/cooling cycles on the aluminum radiator. Hopefully it stays on without problems.

So far it looks fine. I’ve driven the Vette with the new rad for at least 100 miles and everything is okay.

I really appreciate your videos but come on man you can edit out alot of your talking and silly stuff like spray painting and looking at how well you taped up the radiator!!!. And so on . That video should have been like 10min . Like I said I appreciate your videos

Yeah, I tend to use 500 words to say stuff that could’ve been said with five, but it’s tough to decide what to edit out since my (small) audience ranges from new to advance DIYers. Having said that, I agree with and appreciate your comments. I recently started using a new program that gives me a lot more editing control vs the iPhone app I have used in the past, so I hope my videos will get better (and shorter) over time and that you’ll stick around and keep providing valuable feedback. I want to hear constructive criticism, as bitter as it may be. lol 😆
