Ahhh, the humble kb clean. Often overlooked for sexier movements like multiple presses or jerks, the clean comes into its own when done in isolation. The first time I tried doing 1:00 sets for the kb pentatilon ( do each for 6:00 - Clean, clean and press, jerk, half snatch, push press) I could not believe how hard it was doing straight kb cleans. Hand insertion is key. I also finish all my workouts with dead hangs for 1:00 or longer if possible. That has also improved my grip strength.

This is great information! I find that being relaxed in the wrist helps prevent banging the forearms too. Thanks John

I love kettle bells. I farmer walk miles on a treadmill while holding them,a relaxed finger grip strengthens the hands& forearm IMO. I definitely feel a difference.

I guess there's two types of hand switches, the switch on the way up ('tactical clean') and the switch on the way down which is what I call the hand to hand . The first time I pulled off the 'tactical' switch was with a snatch and it definitely feels different than a regular snatch. Compared to a hand switch in a half snatch (hand to hand half snatch), the snatch movement feels the same as the unswitched one, at least on the way up.

I started kettlebell exercises to prepare for my 3rd hip replacement. It would be great if you showed tips for people like myself who will be rehabilitating their lower body. Your knowledge and enthusiasm demonstrate a willingness to make people better. Thank you..

Try Swings, Goblet Squats and Suitcase Walks. They're a powerful combo to strengthen your hip.

Check doc and talk to the physio. Swings may help but listen to your body.
