Hi Graeme. I, who do not have horses in my daily life, but who love these large, gentle and fascinating animals, enjoy your videos as a substitute. It is clear that the horses in your fold have absolute confidence in you and love to "hang out" with you. Experiencing this warms my heart and delights me right into the core of my existence. Thank you for taking the time to convey this interaction. Greetings from Denmark.

Mr. Wilde looked like he was thinking about grooming you. He had , what I call 'squinty eyes' when my dog does it like a cat , they are relaxed and signalling that they are no threat. All of the horses clearly love your individual attention. I cannot think of a better way to spend your time!

Joka cracks me up! No matter the circumstances, 8 times out of ten she can be counted on to be giving you that Icelandic stare, stealthily moving closer. She is one cool cookie. ❤❤ Thanks for sharing these quiet moments with your herd.

I guess Roni and Lena broke up. There’s a new gal in town. Sweet little Annie! There’s something about bc wildies. Such sweet and loving horses. You have such amazing horses.. all of them, even crazy Gracie. She even has her sweet times. Thanks Graeme for sharing your world. Your beautiful creatures always make my day.

Aaww Mr Wilde* is so awesome, funny with his mouth and lips 😂, they're very agile with their lips & mouth more than I thought. Joka so cute just lined up like "Me next!" Roni and Annie do look almost identical like they could be a father/daughter duo. Glad they get along.

Ooh, I can’t tell you how much I want to “hang out and hug a horse “ as you put it. I live in the New Forest south coast of the UK. There are thousands of free roaming ponies everywhere and warning signs that say “look but don’t touch” . So frustrating ! 😍🐎

That's exactly what I was thinking. Look how gorgeous (ok, handsome since he's a male lol) he is now. The difference is 🤯. But not when you see who the owner is. Any horse in Graeme's care is lucky and going to be treated very well! 💯

I love getting snuggles and hugs from the horses. Retsen (the quarter horse I ride most frequently) loves to snuggle up close when we are just standing around waiting for things to happen. The one pony we have (who's about as goofy as they come! 😂) Loves to rest his head on your shoulder and just stand there and be quiet. And Dixie the one mare loves to wrap her head around your shoulder and pull you in for a hug. I guess our barn has a bunch of snuggle bugs. Lol 🤣. Has anyone else noticed that Joka has a "J" shaped blaze???

I would love to have a once a month video or something that showcases an experiment. Like testing draw if you move your chair from one end to another. Or seeing how long it takes for an apple or carrot smell can be detected. But I’m sure you’ve thought of lots of things before. I remember the costumes lol. I’m sure channel people might have suggestions. (I would love to live next door to experience what you get to do everyday.)
@StableHorseTraining2 жыл бұрын
That's a good idea. I have done carrot ones and you've maybe watched but didn't know it :) I did one a while back where a couple of people guessed correctly... it was one where Gracie sort of chased me down. My experiment extended out to all of you to see who would figure out what is going on as it was quite weird.

3:45 lol. How funny! By this point in the video, I think that all the horses draw to you of course… But Lena has tenure and has size and she’s a female, therefore she’s sort of protecting you. Horses I believe have extra sensory abilities. Perhaps Lena senses Mr. wilds increased energy, and she wants to bring some quietness and protection to you Graeme. And as in life, it’s dynamic… Smells first and energies, then touch, then environment, then the ever increasing beauty and dynamics of all the other variables that might be in the arena at any given time. Love your horses and love all that you share with us. Also of course horse lips or fingers… They watch you use your fingers and I think they learn how to try to duplicate human human fingers 🤷🏻♀️🤗😄

It looks like Roni has been pushed out by Gracie, who is now enjoying, and benefitting from, a closer relationship with Lena. Maybe helping her to calm down. Meanwhile, Roni has taken up with little Annie and giving her some nurturing. All good! The 'grown ups' are helping the young'uns.

Question, When you were laying your arm on the side of Mr Wilde's face, was he actually trying to playfully nibble on you or was he trying to start a co-grooming session? I'm leaning towards Co-Groom as only his upper lip seemed to be moving, like he was trying to rub (in that search pattern they tend to do while in looking for a place needing attention) more than wrap his lips around something.
@StableHorseTraining2 жыл бұрын
It's possible for sure but I know him so well that I believe stronger that it was a precursor to play more than anything. I definitely could be wrong but my money is on that just due to the sheer amount of times he tries to nibble for movement rather than grooming. I'll keep a sharper eye on it in the future though and see if I can see the difference better or give something an opportunity more to go wrong/right.
