I sort of understand them trying to limit celebrity specific images to avoid legal actions. I know Disney is quick to sue anyone that encroaches on thier brand but blocking an image in "Disney art style" is lame. That's like the difference of asking for it in surreal art style or Salvador Dali style. Nevermind they aren't ashamed of stealing his name for thier program.

I'm really tired of these AI art creators deciding, after the fact, what is allowable and what is not. Then they can't decide if the art we create with their software is ours or theirs. When I buy a tube of paint from the craft store, the manufacturer doesn't try to control my painting. When I buy an art class from Udemy, they don't try nd tell me what types of painting I can apply their techniques to. So, if you want that much control over my art, then just hire me as your artist. I'll paint whatever you want.

I think this AI art is BS and a lot of people are going to have a rude awakening soon. If car manufacturers want subscription to operate a damn car, you can bet all these "free Ai" is going to bite people in the backside. Think of all the companies that sold lifetime software that have in recent years told those same customers that they need a subscription if they want to keep using the lifetime software they bought a few years ago. Or the media library the provides stock audio almost all KZbinrs are using that has a fine print that is lied about when YTbers do their sponsored video. The catch they never mention is that you can use as much music as you want but the minute you stop paying their sub, you are no longer licensed to use their music. Meaning they can copyright strike every video a KZbinr has made with any of their sounds. Nothing in this year of our lord. is free. They are using the Amazon model of luring everyone in and when enough people can't do without it, they are going to make people pay out the wazoo. There already dozens of AI platforms and all of them already expect people to pay for a bunch of characters with Picasso hands. No one want to learn an actual skill.

Now, I am having a problem trying to decide if 360 or Pattern would be best for mirroring unto my own webpage. I would like the cleanest transaction possible transferring over to Etsy checkout. Also, I like the fact that I can also have non-Etsy Products with Pattern - can the same be done with 360. I have been looking for comparison articles but as of yet I have not found one. No one is owed access to previously created characters and celebrity likenesses. You're not allowed to sell that stuff anyway, due to copyright laws. There's no point in having it available. In my view it has never been ethical to use contemporary artists in prompts, and I've never understood why this is a controversial viewpoint. It should be a given out of respect to contemporary artists. And no, it's not the same as traditional artists being influenced by other artists, not even close.

The market for art and creative products is vast. There are always the designers that slap together other people’s images wether brought or stolen and the designers that create original work - both do well selling to different markets. Some customers don’t care how things are created - mass produced art and decor is huge. Then elsewhere, there are people who wouldn’t be caught dead with a mass produced canvas in their home, they like to be able to tell their friends about the artist and the purchase means a whole different thing.

And i would like to know if there is a free way to add text without a paying version of canva. I tryed the free version, it generates always background and if i remove that with bgremover tool you showed, it keeps limiting the resolution to 500x500 and upscaling it with ai, it keeps adding shitty blurrs. If i try to vectorise the ai images, it adds light border lines and distances between colors and adds colors where before was a soft gradient. thats so annoing!

As a photographer i must say that even 4k resolution for photos is very poor. 4k is only 8 megapixel, a normal camera shoots 24mp or more. So for photos 4k is really low quality.
@WholesaleTed
@WholesaleTed 6 ай бұрын
Haha, there is a difference between a 4k photo, and what I am talking about here though. I am talking about producing images in high enough resolution to print in 300 DPI. Once you go above 300 DPI very few people can tell the difference between a higher resolution image, so it doesn't matter if you increase the quality. You are talking about taking a photo in high resolution, which will increase the detail the camera picks up so will have a noticeable difference on the finished product 🙏

I love you, Sarah! ❤️🌟🍀 Thanks for the updates 💯 It should not censor it, but if AIs are so smart, why can't they generate "safe" images??
@pat4005
@pat4005 6 ай бұрын
Because the company that owns the AI app, and pays the developers to write the code for their AI app, have to tell them what to add or avoid. The decisions on what is considered "safe" has probably changed multiple times since the creation of the various AI apps, and so the easiest and less costly way is to just disallow whatever the current circumstances dictate until the next app update. For example, if Disney got after an AI app developer about their IP being illegally used to make images that people were using on products that they sell online in MANY markets, it is less costly for Disney to go to the source and ask the developer of the AI app to disallow their users to request Disney style and Disney related artwork, than it is for Disney to pay many people to patrol all those marketplaces and sellers and request take-downs of their IP.

Microsoft is reducing the risk of themselves being liable in any copyright infringement lawsuits. Spiderman is under copyright, the images of real people will have been based on copyrighted images used without the copyright holders consent. Some of the copyright holders such as the owners of Spiderman have very deep pockets and will go after infringement, they will target Microsoft because they have the deepest pockets. So this is Microsoft heading that off by saying we've put in controls to stop people generating images for things under copyright and have made reasonable efforts, so if there any court cases they can say look we've done what we can.
@WholesaleTed
@WholesaleTed 6 ай бұрын
I think that is why they are moderating a lot of these things too. By producing images with copyrighted materials, it opens themselves up to being sued. Now, they would probably win the lawsuit. But simply dealing with the lawsuit is, itself, expensive! So my guess is they are trying to minimize it as much as possible.

Hmm I find most AI images need some individual editing so I’m not convinced things like 4x upscale in midjourney and printify images are that useful. I did make a couple of things in Kittl using their AI generator that worked out so maybe I’m being overly cautious

btw, do you use amazon merch as a platform to sell POD?
@WholesaleTed
@WholesaleTed 6 ай бұрын
Sort of. I have an account, and I sell merch that I set up for a video experiment. However I haven't added merch to it ever since, I just earn passive commissions from that experiment. I don't particularly care for POD models where you earn art commissions because the profit margin isn't as big (which is fair enough, not complaining) to running your own store, but that's just me.

at 7:46 there was a problem with your prompt you know what it was ? You used the term Woman, wich seem to be prohibited as if the word women is an idol of some sort. Sad times we live in, just for the sake of it try prompting something negative with man in it and you'd get surprised.

Wow… as an artist, I’m not sure I’m completely understanding what I’m hearing but it sounds very disturbing. I think sites like Etsy, which was a platform for handmade items is being overrun by POD, mass produced AI generated “Art” and it’s sad, really. I don’t think people are thinking about the consequences when they cash in on a quick way to make cash. Does it make sense that AI is spitting out images based on the work of real artists and those real artists had no voice in giving permission to do that and are being pushed out? And yes, I agree with an earlier comment, luckily for most artists most of the AI generated images are fairly lifeless.

I've been holding off on starting a POD store because my accountant and lawyer recommend that I start a corporation prior to starting a POD store, based on our own personal circumstances to insulate our other businesses from possible lawsuit. I'm not sure i want to incur the extra cost to give it a go but with all these new AI innovations, I'm having second thoughts. Sarah, I know you're not a lawyer but what are your thoughts on incorporating?
@WholesaleTed
@WholesaleTed 6 ай бұрын
You're super unlikely to get sued unless your business is actually making substantial profits. It costs money to sue someone, so most people/businesses only sue if they expect to make a profit. If your business is new, then if they sue you, they'll lose money - not gain money. In your position, I wouldn't wait around to incorporate, I'd get started now and just get incorporated whenever the paperwork filing is finished - but that's just me. Here in New Zealand, incorporating is super simple - it's pretty much an instant thing after submitting.

Errrmm....As creating professional looking artwork is now open for anyone who can type a prompt (for free). What's stopping customers simply copying something they like, or designing their own image and getting a product printed and shipped themselves. Not only having the fun and creative satisfaction of doing the art (very very easily) but avoiding the markup price, if it was designed by a "shop owner"?

Tbh, the ability to create art has not been a barrier for a long time, due to apps like Canva having insanely huge stock libraries for very cheap. It was, and is now, all about ideas. A cool picture isn't enough, you need to combine it with a unique product idea that is different and fills a gap in the market. It is an industry of ideas now 🙏

Ai art doesn't magically make money. Good product ideas make money. Ai art can help you turn your ideas into a reality, but if you don't have a good idea, then the product will flop. In fact, the algorithms, such as Etsys algorithm, have an inbuilt mechanism to weed out the crappy products created to flood the market, and rise to the top the ones created off of a good idea. I am hoping to have a video out about it soon!

>> I believe we are meant to be like Jesus in our hearts and not in our flesh. But be careful of AI, for it is just our flesh and that is it. It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart (which comes from obeying God's Word). Whereas we are a spirit and we have a soul but live in the body (in the flesh). When you go to bed it is your flesh that sleeps but your spirit never sleeps (otherwise you have died physically) that is why you have dreams. More so, true love that endures and last is a thing of the heart (when I say 'heart', I mean 'spirit'). But fake love, pretentious love, love with expectations, love for classic reasons, love for material reasons and love for selfish reasons that is a thing of our flesh. In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. Take note, God is Spirit and God is Love. As Love He is the source of it. We also know that God is Omnipotent, for He creates out of nothing and He has no beginning and has no end. That means, our love is but a shadow of God's Love. True love looks around to see who is in need of your help, your smile, your possessions, your money, your strength, your quality time. Love forgives and forgets. Love wants for others what it wants for itself. Take note, love works in conjunction with other spiritual forces such as faith and patience. We should let the Word of God be the standard of our lives not AI. If not, God will let us face AI on our own and it will cast the truth down to the ground, it will be the cause of so much destruction like never seen before, it will deceive many and take many captive in order to enslave them into worshipping it and abiding in lawlessness. We can only destroy ourselves but with God all things are possible. God knows us better because He is our Creater and He knows our beginning and our end. Our prove text is taken from the book of John 5:31-44, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Daniel 7-9, Revelation 13-15, Matthew 24-25 and Luke 21. Let us watch and pray... God bless you as you share this message to others.
