Buy side liquidity is market makers are buying to sell, and vise versa. They do this because price gets too high, so they have to sell to buy at a cheaper price. You should look into liquidity inducement theorem

It simply means the liquidity ran by the smart money, big boys, and the banks on the sell side (when the price is still selling at the key support levels) to trap the sellers (retail traders) when preparing to push the price back up. Buy-side liquidity means the opposite. This happens at the key resistance level.

If it helps anyone, when the market is about to have a "market shift" you can also note a change of character "CHOC". In uptrend there is HH, HL, HH, HL however when you may see HH, HL, (LH), HL then the next few moves usually confirms the brake of structure and vice versa for a down trend. Anything outside of H4/L4 is a change of character which you monitor for break of structure or trend continuation.

Liquidity is actually how much money there can come in or out of a financial instrument WITHOUT affecting it's buy/sell price. So for example you can sell 10 BTC without the price falling to $5000 in an instant because there is high volume (money coming in and out of the market). Try this with shit coins that are created everyday, and you are guaranteed to lose all your money because they are not liquid. Liquidity = your ability to turn the asset into cash. The higher it's liquidity is, the easier it is to sell and take your money back.
